  • What could God do that is considered evil? Ok it all goes back to Adam and eve when the devil tricked adam and eve with the fruit what? No Im going to answer you let me finish first it goes back to Adam and eve and the devil tricked them and God just stood around doing nothing watching it happen what ? Yea Im going to answer see adam and eve sinned right? Then the fallen angels came down God did nothin again right? Wait let me finish first I going to answer you LOL

  • 1) How could anything be against the will of an almighty and omnipotent creator

    2) What do mankind's wrongdoings have to do with disease and natural disaster

    3) If the fruit of the tree gave humankind the knowledge of good and evil, how could Adam and Eve have knowingly committed an immoral action BEFORE they had knowledge of good and evil

  • how can people so old be so stupid.

  • shot bro!!! continue to be faithful bro!!

  • Well done.

  • You completely ignored the question. The fall of man has nothing to do with whether God's actions are good or evil. Try again.

  • @azsuperman01 The standard by which you measure good and evil are obviously different from God's. I don't find it difficult to accuse God of atrocitiy and evil at all. Any bystander or onlooker can yell and point a finger, but it doesn't change much. According to you, God is guilty of genocide, suicide, fratricide, homicide, and even pesticide( the killer fruit!!). So why ask questions you have already taken concrete and unfliching stances on, which you have no intention of changing . I'm bored.

  • @ndlynn08 Not according to me, it's according to the Bible he supposedly authored/inspired. I'm simply asking -- if all those things can be considered "good" then what would God need to do in order for it to be considered "evil"?

  • @ndlynn08 - Minor correction, pesticide kills pests, such as insects and bugs, not fruit... but yeah, God has done that too. (Although usually he just uses pests to destroy crops and make large numbers of people starve to death.)

  • @azsuperman01 It is all very true. God has not feinted in dealing with those pitted against Him, or His people. The justifications that give such acts purpose and reason are not within our ability to entirely grasp. That is where faith comes in. If one doesn't think God has the best interest in mind for His people, then it is impossible to take such accounts any other way.

  • @ndlynn08 - You're still avoiding the question. Be honest, stop trying to dance around the subject and just give a straight answer. What action(s) would be evil or immoral if committed by God?

  • I'm not asking you to defend God's actions as described in the Bible, I'm asking YOU to give me an example of an action he could commit which would be evil or immoral.

  • @azsuperman01 My PESONAL opinion is: nothing. Final Answer Mr. Philbin!

Since you are interested in MY OPINION and not biblical fact, I get the honor of saying this.

Besides the three things God HIMSELF says HE cannot do, there is nothing that He can do that would be considered evil BY ME. Lord Jesus, that may sound so crazy and narrow minded, and exclusive, BUT I TRUST HIM THAT MUCH!!!! PRAISE GOD!!

  • @ndlynn08 - Finally, you actually addressed the question. Let me make sure I understand you. You are saying there is NO ACTION, regardless of how cruel, disgusting, painful, insidious, etc. that would be evil if God committed it. Is that right?

  • @azsuperman01 That's right. If I've read the bible right, and have at least a kindergartners understanding regarding what is being talked about, He's already claimed responsibility for some pretty crazy stuff. (I really don't understand why He punished David for numbering the people) But I trust that He was in line with His word and character in doing so. There is is Superman, that's the corner i've painted myself into and I'm sticking to it!!

  • @ndlynn08 If I were to say: "Pastor Nate is a good man," it would convey something about his character. But you're saying EVERYTHING God does is "good" regardless of what he does. Which means the word "good" is meaningless when applied to God.

The term "God is good" conveys absolutely no information whatsoever.

It also means it would be IMPOSSIBLE for you to tell the difference between a benevolent deity and a malevolent one.

  • @ndlynn08 Also, being "in line with his character" isn't exactly a good thing if his character is deplorable, after all Jeffrey Dahmer was in line with his character too.

  • @azsuperman01 I suppose. But Dahmer didn't have history presenting him as divine did he? In this debate of personal opinion, this is where we stand: You believe that God's actions are evil, uneccessary and unfair. I believe that He is just and free from sin. May I ask where this is going? What effectual point are you going to make in this exchange?

  • @ndlynn08 You describe God's history as "divine," which means "of God." So in essence you said God's history is God's history. You call God "sinless," since "sin" is anything that goes against the will of God, anything God does will be "sinless" by definition... another meaningless word. You call God "just" which I'll assume falls into the same category as "good" in that whatever God does, it'll be "just" because he did it. Your entire description of God tells us nothing about him.

  • @azsuperman01 I didn't say God's history is divine, I said, "history PRESENTS Him as divine". Technically you could say it's the same thing if you have no respect for grammar. As for opinion, you sure haven't been anyone's but your own. The reasons and arguments you present aren't being currently presented by any debating Athiest/Evolutionist, & hasn't been in any public arena for almost a decade. By your judgment, God has no right to do what He has done, & there's no reason to read the bible.

  • @ndlynn08 Again, if he is God, then saying his history "presents him as divine" is a meaningless sentence. You keep going on about my opinion. What statements of opinion have I made during this discussion?

I haven't said anything about what rights God has or does not have. I've simply asked you to give me an example of action(s) which would be immoral or evil if committed by God. I have offered no opinion about any action(s) currently attributed to God.

  • @azsuperman01 Saying you haven't been stating your opinion, is a bold claim, since all your videos star you and most questions and objections come from your own understanding and counsel. If you re not stating your own opinion, then you are merely a puppet spouting disinformation without any real say in the matter. I don't believe that's what you are. I know you're smarter than that! :)

  • @ndlynn08 I didn't say I have NEVER stated my opinion in any of my videos, however, in the video this is a response to - and the discussion in the comments, I haven't stated any opinion. I just asked you to answer a question: "What action(s) would be evil or immoral if committed by God?" Instead of answering, you tried to defend actions which YOU said could be considered evil. Whether this was because you honestly didn't understand the question - or because you were avoiding it, I don't know.

  • @ndlynn08 - You like to use a lot of religious buzz words when talking about God, but you don't seem to realize how useless the words are as a description. By your own definition, they tell you absolutely NOTHING about the character, personality, or will of the God you are attempting to describe.

  • @azsuperman01 What religious "BUZZ WORDS" do you speak of? Whatever words I use to describe God, He used them first. You are right in saying that they mean nothing, which they very well may to some. Nonetheless, I only attribute to God what He has attributed to Himself in the Bible, and in His dealing with me. I'm getting the notion you think I'm making all this up. That would make me a narcissistic, delusional, paranoid schizophrenic, and one hell of a liar to boot!! Hey, hey, hey, BUZZ WORDS!!

  • @ndlynn08 When you say "God is good" you are trying to say something about the character of God... right? However, by your own admission, the word "good" is meaningless. You couldn't tell the difference between a benevolent God or malevolent one, and both could be called "good" according to your definition. I don't think you made this up, but you probably never thought about the meaning of the words you use when you're describing God.

  • @azsuperman01 The Character of God is defined by what He does and why He did so. The words are just descriptors to flesh out this notion. All words are meaningless without the proper corresponding meaning or notion correctly put into context. God is good because His actions and values are grounded in love, truth, and holiness (all are action descriptors by the way). It seems like you are confusing nicety with goodness. God is not always a "nice" God, but He is always good.

  • @ndlynn08 EXACTLY! The words are meaningless without corresponding meaning!! Now you're getting it! -- The word "good" means NOTHING and conveys no information when it's applied toward God, unless you can show what a "bad" or "evil" action would be. If, as you stated, EVERY action, regardless of how heinous, is still "good" just because God did it -- then the word has NO context, it literally means absolutely nothing.

  • @ndlynn08 Maybe this will help: Which direction is up? Easy enough, up is the opposite of "down." "Up" is usually considered the direction opposite a gravitational force anchoring you to an object. "Down" is the direction toward the gravitational force. If I said "Every direction is up, regardless of gravity!" Then I said: "Something went up." My 2nd statement would give you no information about which direction the object traveled, the word "up" would be completely meaningless.

  • @ndlynn08 Likewise, the word "good" conveys a certain meaning when it is used to describe a person's character, and it's opposite (evil) also has meaning. However, you are saying: "ANYTHING God does is good, regardless of how cruel, disgusting, painful, insidious, etc. the action is." Then saying "God is good!" Used in this way, "good" is meaningless, as is "evil." It's like saying "Every direction is up" then trying to use the word "up" to convey a specific direction, you can't.

  • @ndlynn08 It is odd, that in a posting about the meaning and use of words you make so many mistakes about the meaning and use of words. Nicety means something small, not niceness. Love, truth and holiness are not action descriptors. Love describes an emotional state, and truth and holiness are abstract nouns applied to value judgements.

  • @azsuperman01 Is there any more you can do than present your opinion(s) and the reason(s) you hold to them?

  • @ndlynn08 I haven't stated my personal opinion at all in this discussion. YOU have listed numerous actions which YOU said unbelievers could call "evil." I simply tried to get you to actually answer the question. Now that you have finally answered, I just pointed out the obvious - if you're right and any action is "good" just because God did it - then saying "God is good" is completely meaningless, and it's impossible to tell the difference between a "good" God and and "evil" one.

  • @azsuperman01 One can only see the cruel and unflinching judgement of peoples and such, because love has not entered into the equation to the unbeliever. It's not easy to believe, but the bible doesn't come off as religious babble either. Given all that God has given and bought me through, I can't help but speak, love, and search for Him.

  • @ndlynn08 - You're still avoiding the question. What action(s) would be evil or immoral if committed by God? I don't care if you think God can/can't actually perform the action... I just want to know if there is anything which would be evil or immoral if God did it.

  • @azsuperman01 I don't know if it means much, but I am sorry for the lies and b.s. that religion has conjured and instituted in the name of God. Indeed there are many falsities about Christ, God and so on, but there are people who reflect God in this world. You may have only met one, but if you have I'm sure you remeber that encounter. it is unwise to judge so critically when obviously there are so many questions you still have.

  • @ndlynn08 - So far, all I'm getting from you is more B.S. in the name of Christ. You're claiming to be providing answers to the questions I've asked, but you have yet to offer a single example of an action that would be evil or immoral if committed by God. Please, stop the B.S. and actually address the question.

  • @azsuperman01 If you wanna use your standard, He's guilty and should be dragged off the throne. If you are using the standard by which God operates, all is whithin the character of a God, King, and Father, fighting a battle for the souls of those He loves and whom love him.

  • @ndlynn08 By your standard he's someone who can get away with anything just because there isn't anyone with a bigger stick to hold him accountable.

  • I saw your responses to ol' Superman's questions, and decided to come check what you got. You're not even willing to speak loud and clear? You're not even willing to be heard for god? You're worse than a sinner, Mr ndlynn08, because you deny the lord.

  • @ristinraccoon When did he deny the lord?

  • God is crying because of all this. Evil is the word for dEVIL. The devil is winning and we do not see that because i we do fight, fight and fight. War will never stop in this earth good will try to come, but evil is always out there to make us kill each other. people say that god is evil and believing that satinis good that people do believe it. Why cant we stop the hate? because the evil love when we fight each other and kill each other. I pray for everyone that is suffering and to you all.

  • You didn't answer the question at all. You just said that God gave the earth over to man, which ultimately made the world evil. That doesn't answer wat would be evil if done by God OR justifies the seemingly evil deeds of God.

  • That is what you call a "loaded" question. No matter the answer, it will still be an incomplete, not to mention, negative answer. The real question is what would be considered evil by man, if done by God. It must be phrased that way, because it would be impossible to lay a charge at the feet of the Creator, due to the fact that the rules and law belong to Him. This is a question focused on opinion, not truth, and therefore it will only lead to dispute and slander, not growth and understanding.

  • By the way, I never said God giving the earth to man made it evil. I said, when man (Adam) gave the earth to Satan through his disobedience to God, then sin/death/evil came into the picture affecting all of creation.

  • I used the word ultimately to skip over the middle steps, but your last reply shows that you know what i meant, or know now.

  • If god is almighty then nothing is against his will. God made the rules by which satin could take the world if man sinned. God knows all and "made" us imperfect therefore DAH!!
