@booboobrinn there is something wrong with it because you shouldn't go through extensive, painful dangerous surgery just so everyone else is happy with your appearance and if you watch the whole show you know that while she feels better about her physical appearance she never felt good about herself at all. She had the biggest esteem issues of anyone on the show, that's why Mouth was still able to connect with her.

The whole school shooting episode, apart from the very end was showing how its because of the stupid hierarchy of society that he was doing it. How they all caused it because no one was even slightly decent to him.
