@snowball1988 Son B was born in 1975 before Fox had formed (she married the year before). Sons J, D and R were all born in the early 80's effectively putting an end to her recording career although she has periodically written and recorded material including a rock opera about a superhero (see Judy Blue). Her eldest son is something of a celebrity in an interlectual arena and two of the younger sons have flirted with the music industry. All are too busy to help Mum get her website going.

There is some thing very wrong with this video It is clearly dubbed over, note; no-one is applauding at the end whilst the sound track is. Looks like it may be a camera rehearsal especially as the kids in the audience spend most of the time watching the camera rather than the group. No way was this a broadcast film. And why is everyone so sad. Noosha was a very expressive performer and here she look almost zombieish? Most odd whilst being interesting.

Very perceptive notes on your part, and you may well be right. I understood that the TOTP episodes containing "only you can" were wiped in the criminally unforgivable purge of VT in the late 70's by that asshole Mike Mills. The version is a little different to the released 45 too. This IS very likley a test run and what a joy to see.I messaged the poster as you can see but no reply.

This is from the March 13th, 1975 TOTP presented by Noel Edmonds which is safe in the BBC archive

An earlier performance from Feb 13th that year also survived as it was one of 5 songs 'inserted' into Feb 27th edition that year.

While the Feb 27th show was wiped, the 'insert' tape survived !

Many editions of TOTP survived and many clips are being re-discovered even now. The latest are Nov 11, 1974 (Dick Emery recorded it at home !) and a Pink Floyd from 1967

I can assure you the video isn't dubbed over, though I can see why you would think it was.

Audience applause on TOTP was routinely added in post production. It's noticeably the same 'sample' used each time.

The band is obviously miming, to a partially new recording (Musicians Union rules at that time) but it is the original sound as broadcast.

Einsfestival are broadcasting a large number of surviving shows on Gedrman tv right now.

As an example, check out the clip of Top Of The Pops 25/12/75. At the end of Pilot's performance of 'January' you hear the same applause...yet there isn't a studio audience at all !
