hi carnaticopia, the translation of the song you've given is wrong. there's nothing in the song about ravana, running demons, lakshmana worshipping, etc. perhaps a closer translation would be:
Rama, prince of (King) Dasaratha! Rama, ocean of mercy! Rama, (you are the) ornament of the Raghu Dynasty. Satya Sai Sri Parandama. (I don't know what Parandama means) Rama, Deliverer of Ahalya! (You are the) destroyer of sins, Rama! Rama, Lord of Shirdi! Lord of Puttaparthi, Parandama.
it is kannada song...so nice.

Excellent piece of Darbari kanada. OS makes it more lively with his remarkable tonal control.

Yes, darbari is called kanada in Carnatic music.
Dasaratha Nandana Rama Dayaa Saagara Rama
Raghu Kula Thilaka Rama Sathya Sai Shree Paramdhama
Dasaratha Nandana Rama Dayaa Saagara Rama
Ahalyodhaaraka Rama Shaapa Vimochana Rama
Shiradipureesha Rama Puttaparthipuree Paramdhama

He has the most wonderful voice. His voice sounds a bit tired here but his recordings are delightful. Wonderful wonderful music.

sorry... error in my previous comment: The last line should be, "Rama, Lord of Shirdi! Puttaparthipuri Parandama." (No "Lord of")
