or maybe i'm mistaken, i went to play the original again and they were bug-like... the weird thing is i remember them being more machine that bug... maybe they are supposed to be like that. Like the scrin in command and conquer 3, you aren't supposed to be able to tell if they are machine or insect?

there are cyborgs the brain is from a combine human. At ep2 the dog kills the strider wich damga the brain that means that all combine syths are brained(got brain)

I've received a few emails suggesting I try the game's own Source Recorder instead - and, no argument, the video and audio quality is really, really top notch. But, because I like to record each scene sometimes a dozen times or more, I found SR just too fiddly. And, while the FRAPS logo and the 30 second limit on recording is a pain in the arse, I like the fact that sometimes it means I have to 'think outside the box'...!

Also, you should save it as a .flv file, because that is recomended by a lot of people; it makes the video have high quality.

I've just had a look at my advanced video options for both HL2 and Lost Coast, and it says "Water Detail" is set to "Reflect World", (my graphics card is an old Radeon), so strange that you're having problems getting reflections on the water - maybe your gfx card's drivers need updating? Sorry I can't be of more help!

...And I died a lot, believe me! It's a film, really - I edited together what I thought were the best moments while I was playing the game with Gmod (if a scene looks good - even if it doesn't make me look good! - I'll put it in every time). Also, so hopefully the action flows and has momentum, I moved the maps around a bit, (which I guess might confuse some people) and didn't include any of the parts where you have to stop to deactivate a force field or whatever...
