Good Points John, what program are you using to demonstrate this - looks a bit like inspiration. Also looks like you have gone back to the laptop. Not using iPad?
I agree that path B is a much more thought out and in the long run, a more productive pathway to take. Simply giving students an ICT tool to use as a gimmick does not really address the ICT skills that you wish to develop.
Using bubbl.us (see last page), Using iPad 70%, laptop 25, iphone 10% which adds up to 105%!
