  • I looooooooove the soloist's voice. I'm separating it from how she sang the actual song, I'm commending her voice in general. I really like her tone and her vibrato is beautiful. Just saying. =)

  • i'm black, but i'm definitely diggin' dis shit

  • Soloist has an amazing voice.

  • I think it's a little too chorally. It's a gospel song, so you need to put some soul into it. and the back singers are just...bleh...lifeless.

  • @spazzylocks what does race have to do with a song? Absolutely nothing. you sound SO ignorant. you might wanna check yourslef and think before you speak that way you don't look so dumb next time. k thanks :)

  • @canly4108

    shut up ya fat bitch

dey shud stick 2 high school musical an all dat shit

dnt start goin on jst cos yu aint got food in hands

  • Nicely done. A feast for both the ear and the eye. Thanks for sharing.

  • LOVE IT♥

  • why do white ppl fink they can sing these songs ???????

i bet none ov dem kids kno wat it even means

  • @spazzylocks What does it mean then smarty?

  • @fungirl1950 its about da slaves

and how water doesn't give thier sent

away 2 da dogs wen dey

    escaped ... am i right ?

  • @spazzylocks If you want people to stop making racist comments then you shouldnt make them yourself. For crying out loud it's a high school group and maybe the director wants them to become well rounded instead of being close minded and singing just "white people music"

  • Why no black people in that crowd? Is this like pure white christian group or something?

  • This is a Ole Negro spiritual highjacked by a bunch of white christians.

  • Wow, great performance, great soloists. The only slight complaint I have is the first soloist's diction when saying "water." It sounds like "wader" most of the time. Granted, that IS how most Americans say "water," but proper diction is awesome in singing - especially choral singing. She had an amazing tone, though!! Keep it up.

  • i think for a song like this, not so much diction and articulation sounds better, it's a different style.

  • There is a note in the score that the choir should sing "water" with a voiced "t," soloist should sing "wa-der" throughout

  • @MrWittySinger be that as it may, it's only right to do justice to a song, especially one of this genre. Not only that, but excuse me if I sound offensive to some, but it just sounds so...white.

  • @MrWittySinger actually, my choir is also having the soloist say "wader" so it contrasts with the sharp "t" the choir puts in on "water."

I bet they were going for something similar here.

  • @MrWittySinger The correct way to sing water in the song is wader for the soloist.

  • wow great job the two soloist did an amazing job

  • Greate i see...yet! A tribute for HT.

  • The best solo for this song ive heard by a highschool choir! Nice job Lauren

  • @Bavada17 This is a great soloist indeed, but also check out "Wade in the Water - BHS Chamber Choir April 2008" here on youtube also

  • a very beautiful song

    great singers 5*

jesus is still with you guys

  • great soloist! especially to still be in high school! i agree that the choir needs more energy though. still very good!

  • first soloist really really freaking good...hot too

  • curse of khain.

  • I wish this had more energy...the soloist is kind of expressive but the whole whole performance is just lacking energy.

  • Wow, I happen to like our school's version better as well (Although still Moses Hogan) but seriously grow up and be respectful instead of hiding behind a computer screen.

    Great video, well sung.

  • THE 13TH RELATED ViDEO iS WAy BETTER THAN THiS.

  • ok, ouch, i thought we were doing the whole positive thing around here?

  • UMM... DiD DAt SOUND NEGAtiVE 2 yOOH? NO! GEt yAH SPLiT STR8 CUHz... BAAAHHHHHH!!!

  • Chills all around!! That was just alsome!!

  • Beautiful!

  • this was really good. i am performing this wit my college choir as well (as some others have mentioned). both soloists were very good but i do wish the cameraperson would have shown more than just the first soloist...the sound was very good and i liked how your dynamics were present but not overpowering. nice job

  • I'm singing this song in my college choir. It is very difficult song. I'm really grateful you put this up because now I get how its suppose to be sung.

  • maybe its because im a soprano 1 but the second soloist was amazing. the first one was as well. Though I do wish the camraman had panned away from her and shown us the entire chior. but the sound was amazing. great job.

  • I love the tone the first soloist produced. Lovely. And the rest of the ensemble (and the other soloist) did very nicely, as well.

  • Wow, North Smithfield High school sang that at our concert. Great job.:)

  • no negativive comments are necessary from anyone. thanks :)
