  • I remember when richard sher and oprah winfrey anchored the 6pm news

  • Odd that these days you don't see any major news networks like WJZ not showing the news as they did in the 80's. Times have changed.

  • @Hanssen69 WJZ is not a news network. It's a local station.

  • @MrSickofstupidity

I was born in Baltimore and I'm from the state of Maryland I know WJZ is a local station that reports on local and CBS Network news.

  • I didn't know Ken Singleton did local TV. It'd be kind of strange to see him talking about football.

  • oh, don o'brien, i remember that scandal... :D

  • Since I am from Maryland and I watched WJZ I miss the old days.

  • What an incredible open!

  • generalrave, you sound exactly like Julius with your useless ramblings and demands. Stop it.

  • How creepy @ :12!

  • can you please upload wjz-tv eyewitness news at 6pm open from 1988

  • Man this is pure vintage. Had that ABC Voice, Don O'Brien, and Debra Stone before she got stuck doing medstar health ads.

  • That Ernie Anderson V/O with the fireworks would definitely make the kids run away from the set. :-P

  • First time seeing the Nighttime version of the open from the "It's a Good Feeling To Know" era.

  • It's a beautiful open. So /Chroma Cues/ must had been commissioned within the next 6 months of '87.

  • yea

  • Sweet swinging Kenny Singleton and Big Don O'Brien? Plus a promo for the "Afternoon Funnies"? Wow, talk about childhood memories!

  • feel ya ,i was about 9 years old, flashback city!!!!!!
