  • Nice tank! It looks very natural as in a river... I like to keep my goldfishies in simple tanks. I have 2 big basalt chunks, kinda pyramid-shaped, and behind them are big bunches of anacharis that I let wind around the tank and grow long. The rocks are natural-looking multicolored brown, white, black, and reddish rocks.

  • i like the video just the sand i think should be only light brown.

  • you know, Ross, at first, I thought your videos were dumb. then, I started to understand you, then I started to like you, and then I started to love you, and now, you have earned another subscriber. congrats!

  • You should add some plants.:) but otherwise I love your videos :)

  • Oliver Knott.

  • HORRIBLEE......

  • @samuelitofernandez in your opinion :)

  • @samuelitofernandez haha until he is working white plants i bet he is better than you and have more subscribers than you will got in 1 life

  • what's on the ground and why is it wet?:o

  • all 9 people that disliked this video have a tank with fake plants and dead fish and just wanna hate on ross

  • @REDBULLskater11 thanks for the support man :)

  • @TheRossiboy haah i got your back btw the tank looks sick i like it but you should get some java fern and anubias since gold fish dont eat those 2 plants

  • Ok thanks

  • @TWhite2345 no problem

  • all you do is go on about the rocks and u pronounced algae wrong.

  • @MrMasefield All you do is press a few keys without talking, there are two ways to pronounce algae

  • Does the filter u have suck up newborn fry

  • @TWhite2345 no, the tube has a grating on the end which prevents anything that size from being sucked in :) If your filter doesn't have any kind of barrier try tying a sponge or other fine material over the end :)

  • really is the worst method for preparing a tank....

  • @aarwain explain

  • i thought you only had 3 goldfish fry ross

  • @cam4er he has 3 now he started with 8 i think

  • @cam4er yeah I do now...lost a few to finrot :(

  • I've seen more 'stimulating environments' in Flatland.

  • @TomflackMassive Hey! thanks for the comment

  • Mate you cant just put in any rocks you find. No doubt they contain calcium carbonate and then your tank will be buffered really alkaline man.

  • can i use what ever rock i can find?

  • Nice man good tips I have a 30 gallon tank check it out the video is kinda stupid and my otters r kinda stupid but let me know what u think

  • haha i have the same food as you :D love your videos, and i am hoping for some platy fry soon :D

  • @littlelauren971 haha awesome :) thanks a lot for watching and good luck with the fry!

  • just skip to 3:05 and save 3 mins of your life

  • @hasan8812011 thanks for the shortcut!

  • Hey, good video. I am about to do my own aquascape for the first time and your video has helped.

  • @MrDankieSchmell Thanks a lot! I'm glad it helped you, I don't make the best vids in the world but I'm glad I can help a few people :)

  • Great Video!

  • @SpycyWonton Thank you much appreciated :)

  • Thats pretty cool :) u seem to know what you are doing, too bad u didnt have any plants to use in there also.

  • @trudesss Thanks, I don't know much more than the average fish keeper I just share all I know :)

  • EXCELLENT VIDEO THANK YOU FOR SHARING

  • @72deamons thanks for the complement, no problem

  • ROSSI! you should get a backdrop. that would keep some of the sunlight out.

thats what i do and it works VERY well with keeping algae away

  • @PiranhaKeeper8 thanks for the suggestion but the tank was just temporary, I don't really make an effort on temporary tanks :)

  • AWESOME

  • wow.. that actually looked nice!! At the beginning I thought that the sand looked a bit dull bit with the rocks and water it really looked very good!! :-)

  • @outragedfly Thanks :) yeah it looked a bit grim when it was out of the tank but the water has a way of brightening it up and you'd be surprised what a few large objects can do!

  • no aquascape

  • @SuperSlovenianyoutub what constitutes an aquascape? it can mean different things to different people, just because it doesn't have T5HO's, CO2 injection, heavy planting and large pieces of bogwood doesn't mean it's an aquascape.

  • Thumbs up if you get bored easily.

  • @callofdutykings1004 I guess it's my boring voice lol

  • @TheRossiboy Ha. Can u answer my other question. Thnx :)

  • @callofdutykings1004 I can't find your other question sorry

  • Ross where do you get your clear seal tank? like the one in this video and how much are they?

  • @ShockMycrums I get them from a british store called pets at home and this tank was £20 so about $25-$28

  • i realy want to ask u a question ,ok so u have a realy nice 15 gallon planted tank which i love and i was wondering.....

would any type of plant do ok in my 15 gallon tank ,i have just a plain gravel substrate and the tank has two 15 watt bulbs that are for plant growth please wright back

    thanx

  • @AwesomeAssassin1000 ideally you should have some form of fertilization but you can have stem plants

  • is clear seal a good tank brand?

  • @emochocolateaddict It semms to be, it's cheap over here and gets the job done :)

  • What fish are they?

  • @Tristansfishcrazy1 goldfish, shubunkins and commons :)

  • Nice!!!

  • @TheReptileGuy11 Thanks man :)

  • looks very nice :)

  • @JUNAID187 Thanks mate :)

  • Great video. Looks good!!

  • @fishforme2 thanksman :)

  • ea you have good knowledge of aquascape'ing,, substrate taller to the back, rocks higher on the left and not so high on the right, you don't want you aquarium looking like ther's a mirror in the middle, nice 1 ross

  • @djrichimc thanks a lot I appreciate your comment :)

  • how long should i cook potato for? and how long should i leave it in the tank for?

  • @DaughtersBoi boil it for 15 mins and then cut in half...put it in the tank for 1-2 hours

  • @TheRossiboy thanks a lot can i feed then anything els that i can put in the tank ? peas /

  • @DaughtersBoi yep you can feed them peas just boil them for 15 mins of put them in a bowl of water in the micro for 4-5 mins and then peel the outer skin off each pea and then remove the 2 small segments inside...you can feed the fish these but too many is not good for them

  • Now just add some shells, and multis. Then you have yourself a tank!

  • @VegasSurfer haha not at the minute mike :)

  • nice vid

  • @DaughtersBoi Thanks a lot :)

  • Nice setup

  • @gz1423 Thanks man I appreciate it :)

  • For a tank without plants it looks really great! but do go and add some drift wood!

  • @jarrod989 yeah I don't plan on adding plants incase the hair algae comes back, I lost most of the plants I had in there due to that algae but there is some lucky bamboo in the filter :)

  • Looks awesome

  • @FishAreBeast much appreciated!

  • Great vid on setting up a tank!!! You love those Clear Seal tanks, lol I've never seen them where I live.

  • @weareallwet Thanks man :) Yeah I can get them veryy easily from a national petshop chain called pets at home and they're sooo cheap! that tank was £20/ $28 and the 15 gal was £30/ $40! they're amazingly cheap! but I think they're uk made

  • @TheRossiboy oh okay sweet man!

  • Dude I love the tank. Good placement of rocks. It's looking good. :)

  • @DrDollarGeneral Thanks man ^_^ It's kinda hard when your not standing in front of the tank when decorating it but I got there in the end lol :)

  • awsome
