They most likely did not film this on Xbox Live. Many Halo 3 machinima producers film via local system link connection because they cannot lower their weapons on Live. This also makes it more impressive that they create stuff like this, because they must do all times of non-action (when they lower their guns) with their own system(s) and friends.
