@edge9090 That doesn't qualify him to give out wrong information. Proper technique doesn't involve anything other than your wrist for vibrato. Take a lesson from a trained classical guitarist

@beatlesbiggestfan100- Some bands tune a half step down so that the people singing have an easier time staying in tune. U2 also tunes their instruments this way, for the same reason.
Great tips here! Funny thing tho, how pro guitar players think. I mean, Eddy Van Halen has got some wicked vibrato, and his whammy bar technique is now legendary.

Whats with all the comments saying "WTF is Ace playing? It sounds horrible.", He's playing VIBRATOS, its bending the string up or down while your rocking your finger on the fret to get that prolonged sound. Ace uses it a lot whenever he does licks or solos. He's not trying to hit great notes or arpeggios or scales here he's just showing the VIBRATOS.
It's kind of like saying "Chuck Berry couldn't do sweep picking or tap so he wasn't as good". Isn't that rediculous? He laid the groundwork to which gave us an advantage to progress and take it to the next step. He didn't have that advantage. He made the mold. So that's how I see Ace in a way.

It's kind of like saying "Chuck Berry couldn't do sweep picking or tap so he wasn't as good". Isn't that rediculous? He laid the groundwork to which gave us an advantage to progress and take it to the next step. He didn't have that advantage. He made the mold. So that's how I see Ace in a way.

True is doesn't sound very good and he doesn't communicate well. So what. Thats not why people love(d) Ace. I'm 42. Kids now are used to instruction from trained players. It's normal to be like wtf when viewing this.so just a matter of perspective.

Why does every guitar vid. end up with who is "better"? It's art, not an athletic event.
I love Ace but it's true he is not the player he once was. So what. Neither is B.B. or Keith R. It's ok. I once heard Paul Stanley say Ace never progressed as a player and I never forgot it. In his prime he wrote some GREAT licks and was so cool. I play because of him.
