this is disapointing. i had heard that scrubs would be going back more to how it was the first 3 or 4 seasons; being less silly and more of a drama with humerous elements. this is family guy with humans. sad. i mean, i'll obviously still watch and love it, but holy crap.

I think JD has a beard because he starting to progress and becoming like doctor cox.

The cool thing about scrubs is all of the characters in the show change throughout the seasons. JD use to be all overwhelmed in the beginning seasons and then he got really goofy cause he was under less stress. Now that this is the last season, im guessing that JD will become a full fledge doctor like his mentor Dr. Cox.

Thats why he has the beard.....or cause he looks cool with it

No the beard is likely there because J.D. isnt a kid anymore. He has a child, and is 32 i think (not Braff the character J.D.). He had to grow up if they are going to make the J.D. and elliot ending(too God i hope not) they have to show he matured past the kid that liked to sabotage himself and relationships. And whats a way of showing maturity? a Beard.

a beard doesn't equal maturity. and if JD and elliot didn't get together, that would ruin the show. they've been on and off evrery season, it better end with them finally together for good.

A beard doesnt equal maturity but thats the only way to show maturity on a male. And no J.D. and Elliot do not have to end up together for it to be a good ending, just because they have been on again off agian that made it irraating. Jeez they need to find a nice girl for J.D. maybe bring back Molly, Kylie, or even Julie. Scrubs is a good show with good writers and they've made J.D. seem like one of my friends and I only want whats best for him and getting him with Elliot is just boring.

Not to mention that since they've had Mathew Perry( Chandler) and Courtney Cox(Monica) on the show giving it a friends ending would irate alot of their fans. Do you know how mad i was when Ross & Rachel ended up together? Rachel and Joey were better for each other and J.D. and Kylie or Kim are better for each other. Relationships dont work if they end repeatativly this endings are unrealistic. Scrubs Writers are awesome they can make it work. (i mean the Janitor's name is going to blow you away)
