@Dancefloorsuechtig The "basic rhythm" is SQQ. Foxtrot is written in 4/4 timing, so it's important that at the end of some form of figure set you have taken a multiple of 4 counts. Once you start dancing more advanced figures you will find more advanced timings as well. Long series of quicks appear, as well as SSSQQ rhythms, as well as syncopations as SQ+Q. That phrase you mentioned above (taking S as 2 counts) is 10 counts, so would normally be preceded or followed by 2 quicks or a slow.
@totalgeek1337 Just remember that this video is not a video of Basic foxtrot. They're doing a lot of more advanced figures so the timing might be harder to see. The "Hilton Basic Foxtrot" video sticks to the standard syllabus for the most part and thus contains easier rhythms to follow.
@Dancefloorsuechtig : Hey you... The basic steps are slow quick quick slow quick quick - correct.. But sometimes the variations are not supposed to be slow quick quick, because there are some double of steps or timing in this - for thereafter coming back ti slow quick quick.... But you´ll always have sllow quick quick - and so do they have(the professional here)...
4:00 Threestep Curved Feather Back Feather Feather Fallaway Reverse Slip Pivot Feather Ending Change of Direction 4:33 Change of Direction, Closed Finish Two Backward Steps Continuous Hover Lunge Wing Chasse to the Right Weave Bounce Fallaway Shape Leg Ronde for the Lady 5:06 (Four Feathers) Feather from P.P. Left Side Feather Back Feather Feather Finish Double Reverse Spin, (Over Spun) Threestep
Excellent!!! Thanks for the count, solo male and female steps, steps breakdown. This enables practice at your own pace. Hearty gratitude for the beautiful dance and lesson from an aspiring beginning ballroom dancer.
this is kinda stupid if u learn dancing from one of the best dancers on the world.. rofl.. my teacher was ballroom dance master for some years.. xD of my country ;D
Wonderful stuff but just how advanced are the figures they're performing? It all seems way above what I'm performing and I've never even heard of a couple of the figures.
The video incorporates a mixture of some of the basic figures (feather step, three step etc) right through to some of the most advanced figures (bounce fallaway and continuous Hover), and also some of the typical variations found on figures (double reverse spin overspin) As professionals progress through their studies, they learn more and more figures with increasing difficulty. Hope this is of some use :)

@Dancefloorsuechtig Dann sieh dir mal Rumba oder Samba an, da heißts auch nicht immer slow-quick-quick other slow-a-slow.
Es gibt eben mehr Figuren als nur die mit dem Standard Schrittrythmus...

Foxtrot to my opinion is the most difficult of the ballroom dances, it's definitely my worst :p
