Can someone please explain to me how you can be for giving gays all the marriage rights, but not for gay marriage? Or why calling it marriage is a bad thing, because that word is reserved for straight people? I'm not understanding that.
Senator Obama, while not calling for gay unions to be called marriages (which he SHOULD), has stated throughout the campaign that he is for EQUAL FEDERAL BENEFITS for gay couples and straight couples. Therefore, he is FOR Social Security Survivor Benefits for gay couples as well as straights, and that is extremely important.
OMG you guys were KILLING me last week when you were talking about Palin, especially with the "Joe Sixpack" and "I don't know" drops. And then you dropped the "I Dream of Jeannie" sound effect for her winking...holy crap...I was laughing so hard I was crying.
It's not equal rights if it's calleda hate crime. It should just be a crime. Under hate crime the penalties are higher, that now makes it a 'special' right.
"marriage" is proper to the church, where you're dealing with a sacramental union in which God is involved. Surely, that can't change. But when you talk about the government, what difference does it make if they extend perks to *any* couple? That's only fair.
I wonder if Sarah Palin realizes that while arguing sexual orientation is a "choice" she has unwittingly admitted her own heterosexuality is also a choice.
At 38 I applied for a small business loan. I was turned down because I was white/38 and should have already have a small business, was my reply.
I reapplied, but said I was african America. with all the same info other than I was black i was offered up to $350.000. I then reapplied and said I was a gay African American. I was offered up to $500.000.
gays already have it better than non-gays, so stop all the whining.
gays can start fights, beat the hell out of someone and just cliam they were being picked on because they are gay. But if the other person wins the fight they whine "hate crime."
That's called special rights not equal rights.
I have no issues, it's the gays that want more rights than anyone else.
If a gay dude starts fight with a straight dude because he hates that he's straight, that would also be a hate crime under legeslation. Not that that happens often, but it could. Also, hate crime is not for gays alone they are for anyone who is a victim of a crime due to hate toward their race, gender, and sexuality. At this time the issue is more about sexuality and more hate crimes are against homo's than others. When there is less hate against homo's it will no longer be an issue.

I'm not gay so it can't be an issue of me.
I'm not the one want more rights than others.
Gay marriage rights is no different than someone wanting to marry their dog or pig or even their rubber doll. Sick in the head is, sick in the head, no matter how you look at it.
Who is asking for more rights than others here? Being able to marry someone would be an equal right...what is wrong with equal rights? How would someone else's marriage directly affect your life?

Made that one easy.
A man and woman don't have to ask for a right to get married.
A person that want to marry their dog, monkey or another man do.
What next? Sex with dead people? Oh that was back a few years when all the gays took that to count. More or less it's asking for a right to be sick in the head.

Neither Obama or McCain support LGBT right to marry, and therefore do not support equal rights. Civil Union is not the same as Marriage.
They do not put separation of church and state first, I will not vote for either one.

let a gay person kill someone and all the gays cry out that they are being picked on just because they are gay.
Just let some step on a gay persons toe and all gays want to call it a hate crime.
ANGLEBOOT 3 years ago
ANGLEBOOT, how stupid are you?? That is about the lamest argument I have ever heard.
Name a case where a gay person killed someone and then tried to hide behind their sexuality???

you obviously have some issues and should really ask yourself where those issues are coming from!

Wrong, when there is less homo's it will no longer be an issue.
As long as there homo's there will always be an issue.
The only way it won't be a issue is when there is no women left and all men or all women.
ANGLEBOOT 3 years ago
It's because of people like you that there is always an issue!

again I have to clarify that this was a response to the one below not a response to the video :)
