I Have some sailing-licences and i think that was a usual movement. The Wind and the Waves are going from right to left. So the ship drifts to the left, but if you give it a little power from the engine, it cannot hit the black ship. This maneuver was controlled - there was more space as it looks like...
it's not drifting, rather positioning itself. I also think at some points in the video you can see a little prop wake at times. You are also using a telephoto lens, too. That compresses the image giving the perception that they are a whole lot closer than in reality.
This isn't a disaster...the other boat is just maneuvering between the two to anchor in to the wind within the anchorage area. The angle of the video makes this look worse.
Obviously had both bow and stern anchors deployed. If they would have had just the bow anchor it would have turned into the wind like the other two yachts and this may not have happened.
I'm sure if it got too close, you'd hear the other yachts sounding their horns in collision mode. In this weather there had to be someone on the bridge.
May I recommend learning to spell "Design" and "Designer" before doing so? I don't think I would trust a boat designed by someone who cannot even spell it!
Oh and you have to become a Naval Architect before you can design boats, its not just a case of drawing a wedge shaped thing and calling it a "Design!" Stick to your paper round.....
He may well have the mains running and is just holding station, fore and aft, between the other two as she drags through safely. With the engines lit, this would be as sensible a thing to do or more so than veering out more chain or anything else....particularly if there was obviously enough space as it seems, even from the camera angle, there was.
wouldn't you hear the horns sounding if they were going to collide? but i dont doubt you it looks really close

The boat is drifting because you can her a crewmember on this boat say "The captian of the black boat is saying stop STOP!!"

I think it was just some really deft maneuvering on behalf of the captain.
There is so much machismo shared between those three dicks, I mean ships.

Hi Elyohcsrev, it was blowing force 10, the captain was on a windsurfer...this was not intended.
Edgarsparadijs 3 years ago
@Edgarsparadijs
Its clearly not force 10 you dimwit! If it was, the conditions would be much more severe . With what I saw I'm guessing you had 7. A good breeze!!
