I Love La Corda D'oro primo passo and secondo passo , and i'm mad that they don't continue the secondo passo and just leave the story without a good ending.
hey - if u guys luv anime about music so much, you hav to watch Nodame Cantabile(it even became a j-drama!) its so good, better than this one although they are my fav anime kind of reminds me of yumeiro patisserie ;)
@cajabloom, there are YouTubers who uploaded the episodes in 3 to 4 parts. Just use 'la corda secondo passo' as your search phrase & you'll be directed to links to the viewing pages. Enjoy watching!
Oh my gosh! My orchestra played a five-page arranged version of this for competition this past March. I didn't know that this was played in La Corda d'Oro! The song is very fast and difficult to play accurately. Although this version is short, it made me smile hearing it played here. My favorite part is at 1:57 when it speeds up. That's so much fun to play up in seventh position. :D
@b1000days, both in the manga & anime, Kaji has some issues when it comes to playing an instrument, whether it's the violin or the viola. It's not that he can't play - he's looks up to Shinobu Osaki but got intimidated with Len Tsukimori when both of them were participants to a recital when they were kids. But, his admiration (and, of course, love!) for Kahoko boosted his confidence and ..... you know the rest of the story. Perhaps it's time to watch Secondo Passo again ;D
@AnimeFreakazoid11117, perhaps you missed watching Secondo Passo? Anyway, the character of Kaji Aoi (the Blonde) was introduced in this 2-part episode.
I swear Ruslan will never leave me alone........it has followed me since freshman year. Now i come to find it's in my favorite show.... O.O you win once again Glinka.
It made me cry when I found out there were only 2 episodes of Secondo Passo TT^TT I mean, like why?! Just to premote a game?! It made all the La Corda d'Oro Primo Passo fan's go crazy! Like me!! I honestly got so depressed for the rest of the day after only watching 2 episodes od Secondo Passo......I'm still sad...TT^TT
I think many LCDO fans are very disappointed bec. only 2 eps. were made. The character of the purple-haired guy who's condescending to Kaji & HIno was not properly introduced & explored unless you know the game or have read the Wikipedia entries (which I did & learned that his name was Kiriya Etou). I console myself by reading the latest chapters of the manga, though it's not as interesting bec. you don't hear the music that they play when they're performing in a scene. It's really a bummer!
is it me or that kaji looks a lot like takuma ichijo from vampire knight? XD *hearts fluttering around* and that kiriya etou looks a lot like keiichi kanejo from b gata h kei =w=
why was kahoko excluded? i haven't watched finished even the primo passo and now having mixed feelings about secondo passo. 1) yay more cute guys have appeared 2) ONLY 2 EPISODES!?
why is it that this anime is about how the men fall in love with hino? ==? it gets kinda annoying
A1: Kahoko was excluded because the new director of Seiso Academy (Akihiko Kira, a new character introduced in the anime), thought that she wasn't good enough unlike the other concours partcipants.
A2: La Corda started as a computer dating simulation game for girls in Japan (the current version, I think, is for the PSP platform but in Japanese). Secondo Passo has only 2 episodes because it's only meant to promote the sequel to the 2nd game.
A3: It will help a lot if you get to see all 25 main Primo Passo episodes to understand why, one by one, the guys (including Mr. Iceman, Len Tsukimori, the violinist) start to be drawn to her. I also got to know more about the La Corda series when I read its related Wikipedia entries. Just type 'la corda wiki' in Google in you'll be given the link.
Anyway, setting aside the attention that Kahoko gets from the guys, the other main attraction of the series (for me) is the classical music. One of my personal favorites is Canon in D Major which I often hear with a full orchestra. However, in the series, it's played as a duet (violin+piano) so it's refreshing to hear another version of this famous musical piece.
@3gfv3nnq, an otaku friend of mine knew that I like La Corda, so, by some kind of miracle & after long hours of searching in the internet, he was able to find the mp3s of the musical pieces played in Secondo Passo. Go to the description portion of this video's page to find the link where you can get the audio file.

Nami-guitar and vocals
Kaho-violin or electric violin

@MrEllie2131, yeah, if these guys were real, I wouldn't want to be as dense as Kahoko!!. Each of them has his own brand of charm .....
christelle7108 11 months ago 9
My symphony did this piece 3 years ago. It was so much fun. But this version is really abbreviated; the original is like 6 minutes or so.
I though Aoi (Kaji) wasn't very good at the viola??
