beckett is one of those people for whom love isn't the centre of their existence, and she's very professional and independent...which is why she can't mix love and work together with castle even if she wants to. if you look closely, she looks for a partner she can distance herself from, and doesn't get tangled with her work. that's why she and castle, even though they're meant to be together, can't make it work, coz theyre too close as work partners and friends. but i still love them!!

Love how she's shaking after the incident with Fallon in the interogation room and she tries to pour coffee and Castle is right there and sees how shook up she is and pours the coffee for her...another example of how he is "always" there for her!! so sweet...
