Indeed, deciding when to speak up and when to go with the flow is an important decision to make no matter who you are. We may not be able to influence what decisions Wizards make but we can make a decision for ourselves to no longer support such a cheaty face piece of garbage company. I quit. man, i don't mean to sound like an ass, but i haven't played magic since mirage, and correct me if i'm wrong, but some of the newer cards i saw in this video are too good (8/5 trample with no damage to you or upkeep or any kind of hassle). seems like they would make magic way to easy for me. i guess this could make the game more competitive, but it just seems too easy for me. not trying to talk shit, just haven't checked on the game in a while, and was kinda shocked
well the thing about that 8/5 is that it falls victim to easy and cheap removal spells. path to exile being one, "O"ring (oblivion ring) is another, terror, expunge, the list goes on... so if you look at it, he may look like a threat with no catch 22 but all i can tell you is that he's just as easy to take out as he is intimidatting to see summoned against you. you just have to be prepared to deal with that kind of pressure.
See this is what I hate about Magic. In the UK DoJ is already e-baying at £36 ($58) as pre-sale. As a casual FNM player I can't afford that so I'll just have to open a box (if I can scrape the money together) and hope. This puts me behind the curve and leaves me forever uncompetitive. :-(
Being an Fnm player myself, and playing on the competitive level, I understand the burden of buying singles and using your entire paycheck to do so. Insstead of chuckng cash at boxes, just save spend 15 bucks or so to DRAAFT!!!! It's awesome, fun, and you build up your card base. Besides, if you pul something awesome, I can guarantee somebody there will want it...

It's second ability is horrible :/, why would you think that. The only somewhat relevant ability is the first and by turn 6 no one really cares. You're either dead or in the process of dying.

Protection from white only stops it from being targeted by white spells and abilities and prevents damage from white sources. A Wrath of God will kill, as would Day of Judgment unless it also had regenerate vs the new Day of Judgment.
no because protection from white says that it cant be the target of white sorces what is the same as shroud in this example but protection white also reduce damage from white sorces to 0 and makes the creature unblackable for white creatures ..... that means a protection red creature will not die to earthquake for example even if it targets it not specialy because the damage will be reduced to 0. ...
My guess for the Instigator? Landfall- Untap all creatures that attacked this turn. You get an additional attack phase followed by an additional main phase.
i rather would play a consume spirit for 5 than him :D in that late state of the game (3BBB) you really need a bomb which changes the game immediately, Sorin seems to be very slow to me, i guess if he will be played than mostly the first and and last ability will be played, but tbh i got no clue about t2 ---> legacy junk^^
Sorin Markov sadly is crap, his second ability (target opponents life total becomes 10) is totaly unsynergyc with his first one.On the one hand you can start with the second ability after Sorin resolves than it would be sense to use the first ability after that again and again but in that case Sorin would be easy to kill with a lightning bolt or somethng like that on the other hand you can start with the first ability to play safer but than if you use the second one all you got was some life ..
I'm not really sure how I'm feeling about Warren Instigator at the moment. Currently, I'm having a hard time believing they could cook up a big, epic feeling ability that costs only RR, which leads me to believe that this is only mythic for the same reason Baneslayer is - as an excuse to make it ridiculously undercosted. I thoroughly hope that's not the case (perhaps it has a suitably expensive and epic activated ability?).

I think it might be almost exactly what you said, but instead of just having haste for itself, perhaps it gives all goblins haste and makes them attack each turn if able. That would seem more instigatoresque to me.

Means they weren't lazy when they printed wrath with the full text. I'm just not sure what my thoughts on the new card is, they could of printed a 4cc reset button without wanting to reprint wrath functionally.

Sorin's ultimate is not as worthless as people think, if you cant guess how to control your opponent's turn to really cripple him-her then you have a big issue. From bad attacking to wasting spells I think its a great ability, even if I might only use the first and second most of the time
IMHO, only useful against the lifegaining decks. Normally, if you're playing a guy with such big mana cost. But we'll have to see what the standart will look like with Zendikar. I have an impression that it will be an even slower format that nowadays.
Sorin is pretty much terrible. His plus ability is cool, but his ultimate is not even worth using, i mean really, all you would do is tap all their lands and not play anything. Also, by turn 6, in the current standard metagame, you should have them at or around 10 life anyways, and if you dont, you would probably lose anyway...

So you think time walking is bad, with the boost of tapping out your opponent's lands and maybe using removal on their own dudes? Last I checked using an opponents path to exile on their baneslayer angel and choosing to not find a land is REALLY good.

After taking an opponents turn, You can see their hand and do everything for them. A good player knows just how valuable being able to read an opponent is. Being able to see their deck and their decision and maybe their tells is invaluable. Most professionals know that after mindslaver triggers. You concede or give away all your information. It just wins.
If there's one thing I hate it's the fact that Wizards is making Chase Mythics. I mean I don't mind getting a mythic, but having to get a playset to stay competitive is fucking bullshit.
Evan it has a nasty second ability, for a mere 3 loyalty counters, they already previewed it on The arcana archive today along with every other bit of the card.

Sorin's ultimate is not as worthless as people think, if you cant guess how to control your opponent's turn to really cripple him-her then you have a big issue. From bad attacking to wasting spells I think its a great ability, even if I might only use the first and second most of the time

IMHO, only useful against the lifegaining decks. Normally, if you're playing a guy with such big mana cost. But we'll have to see what the standart will look like with Zendikar. I have an impression that it will be an even slower format that nowadays.

Sorin is pretty much terrible. His plus ability is cool, but his ultimate is not even worth using, i mean really, all you would do is tap all their lands and not play anything. Also, by turn 6, in the current standard metagame, you should have them at or around 10 life anyways, and if you dont, you would probably lose anyway...

So you think time walking is bad, with the boost of tapping out your opponent's lands and maybe using removal on their own dudes? Last I checked using an opponents path to exile on their baneslayer angel and choosing to not find a land is REALLY good.

Mindslaver..... is stupid. was stupid. will always be stupid. Only reason mindslaver made any sense, was printed in an even stupider block.
After taking an opponents turn, You can see their hand and do everything for them. A good player knows just how valuable being able to read an opponent is. Being able to see their deck and their decision and maybe their tells is invaluable. Most professionals know that after mindslaver triggers. You concede or give away all your information. It just wins.

If there's one thing I hate it's the fact that Wizards is making Chase Mythics. I mean I don't mind getting a mythic, but having to get a playset to stay competitive is fucking bullshit.
