To answer the question about why all good artist's are less famous, they are good because they have a reason to be. Their judgment isn't being clouded by stacks of money that are as tall as the empire state building.This gives them the ability to express their own ideas, and their opinions. not some corporate prick that wants to push some political agenda or ideal (note: I realize that your question was hypothetical, but you bring up a good point that more people need to be aware of)
