I like it better than Bohm's version. There, I've said it. It's technically inferior, but I like the spirit and I enjoy listening to this more.

At the Moscow Conservatory as well as at Juilliard and Eastman they learn to play in tune within the intervals of the chord structure and with each other as an ensemble rather than to rely on one person who has "perfect pitch" - the result, plus Barshai's wonderful command of the score is an ensemble that plays beautifully in tune throughout the piece.

Why must always these romantic orchestras play Mozart.... They play the music wrong, the worst thing is all the use of vibrato... urgghhhh.

Brotip: ensembles and soloists often colour music such as this to prevent the sound from becoming stale.

I'm in the exact same boat, dude. lol! I don't know how it started, but I started listening to his rendition of PAchelbel's Canon in D, and it just grew from there. Then of course I had to read up on his biography after watching Amadeus (which is fricken BRILLIANT). So yeah.....don't feel too off. lol
