This devise is not dual voltage. The wattage for the Bedhead Wave Artist is 180 watts, so to use it in the UK you'll need a high to low converter that can take up to 200 watts. I am using a 300 watt converter that I bought from Maplins. Hope this helps
I REALLY REALLY want this waver (the triple barrell ones available in the UK are rubbish- they just crimp your hair, they don't wave it) . Could you possible tell me what your booklet says about the voltage and the watts? If there is no watt rating, could you see if there's a figure for the amps and then i can work it out? This is because I need this info to disocver whether it is safe to use it with a transformer.
My mom borrowed it from her friend and I tried it and it was amazing. So I just wanted to asked , where do you bye them ? Please someone coment Back .
I've used this, i have a crazy Q, my hair is BONE straight & very thin so of course i use the lower setting and hold for a few seconds. Does one have to "train" the hair to do this? for the hair to get used to "waving" it? because my waves are not as wavy and they do not staying in, any recommendations?
@ewardandtaylor123 I've done this hairstyle a couple times, so this particular time only took me about 30 minutes. I think it took at least an hour the first time I did this look and I'm sure it was because I was getting familiar to the tool itself. I found it best to take a couple strands of hair to see how it turns out first (a seperate day than when you plan on using this for the day) then you know how much hair to section and use with the deep waver. =) I hope this helps!
I want something like this but I already have wavy hair, I just want to shape my natural waves with it... so I'd probably do it on larger sections of hair because i have more than enough body already
Hi, i live in europe and i NEEEEED this waver!, do you by any chance know if it is dual voltage because i can't find this information anywhere (im also searching this info for the revlon jumbo 3 barrel waver too if anyone knows)
@hunterkittie This Deep Waver from Hot Tools is not Dual Voltage. I looked into the Revlon one and it's not dual voltage either. The only tripple barrel curling iron I found to be dual voltage is the Gold 'N Hot Triple Barrel Waver by Gold 'N Hot. I hope this helps and good luck!!!

@hunterkittie I did however find a converter for dual voltage and if you are interested in buying something like that to help you purchase items/products that don't come with dual voltage.. check Amazon. It won't let me post the link, but I typed in Dual Voltage Converters in Bing.com search.
@BeautyShoppe Thank you for your answer! i saw the gold n hot but i'm not sure about the results because the barrels are smaller, ill try to find a store that ships in france apparently there are restrictions on electrical products. I found only one stoe on amazon willing to ship here and the shipping is twice the price of the waver :-/ Wish i could find this here, i can do the look with a regular curling iron but it takes me 4.5hres!

@voidedidentity It all depends on your hair. My hair typically doesn't hold curl, but I didn't use hairspray and it lasted all day. Now of course like normal curls, it wasn't as volumized later in the day, but it still looked great. If you want to add hairspray, that's up to you. Afterwards, I just put a dab of Marrakesh Oil on my hands and lightly finger style.
@kerahouse1 I've never used the Revlon one, but with this one the main difference is that this gives a deeper wave, so it's not the crimp-ish wave you get with most 3 barrel wavers. This gives the look of a more defined wave/curl since the barrels are deeper.
@2MyBliss My opinion is it always depends on how you use it and what you want it to look like. Without seeing your hair, I'm not really sure. Another tip I recently learned for this Deep Waver is to turn it sideways and do it that way. This might help in your case to keep your hair from getting too much volume. Let me know when you try it how it turns out! Good Luck!
@2MyBliss Make sure the heat setting is not at the highest and do a few pieces of hair. If it looks too volumized for your hair, adjust the heat down more. Even taking bigger sections and not going all the way to the root helps with not being so lifted. =) Hope this helps!
Thank you so much for sharing this vid with us! I actually just purchased this tool on Folica. I have the triple barrel iron and just like you said it does kinda give you that 80's style crimped look, which I do like but I really wanted a deeper wave, and when I saw this video it confirmed that that this is the tool to do the job! So just wanted to say thanks for sharing :)
@Beautifu1B1urr No Problem and Thanks for watching! Maybe you can post a video or even a picture of your hair after using this! Keep watching for more videos!
@PurplePop101 This will not give you tight waves. Since this is a Deep Waver, it's more for the beach look, so as much volume as you want, with the deeper waves. If you want really tight waves (I'm assuming you mean like a crimp wave) I would suggest a crimping iron like the Hot Tools Crimping Iron. This will also give you more of the 80's Tina Turner style tight waves. Hope this helps and Good Luck!
@DuckiezMommy If you have THICK shoulder length hair, then probably. Then again, it still all depends on how you use it. If you keep the temp low, then you can keep the volume lower. The best thing to do is experiment and get creative.
@djalliville I tried the 3 barrel iron a couple years ago and it gave my hair a smaller wave, more crimp like. This barrel with it being a DEEP waver, it really gives it a deeper wave and volume instead of the 80's crimp. I hope this helped!

so you don't need hairspray or anything afterward? how long do the waves stay in? you just finger style?

would you know if this gives a similar or diff. effect to the revlon jumbo waver?

Looks great. I have medium length hair with medium thickness and it is layered twice. Do you think this will look silly?
