  • @BlinkingCrown its not sarang imnida. its Saram imnida. The word Sarang means Love. The word Saram mean a person. Its also not Sarangimnika because as I said, Sarang means Love. :) lol im not korean but kpop & kdramas really help. :) & I dont think it's Singaputo, I think it's Singapuro! Hope that helps even with the 2 weeks late reply. :)

    "Annyeong-hi gaseyo" is when you are bidding to your guest goodbye ;

    "Annyeong-hi gyeseyo" is when you are the guest (note: YOU ARE THE GUEST) and you're leaving.

  • Can someone tell me the exact difference in pronunciation between ㅓ and ㅗ. I kinda pronounce it the same way..

  • I don't hear much of a difference when spoken, it's a really subtle difference I think, they do sound mostly the same, the ㅗ sound should have the lips pushed out slightly more lol.

  • I think this--> ㅓ sounds more like or, whereas this --> ㅗ sounds like oh. Am i right?

  • ㅓ this one is sound liek u are saying aww thats so cute. and ㅗ this one is more like the english O.

  • is there a difference between kamsahamnida and komapseumnida ?

    both means "thank u " i think

  • Yes both mean "thank you" and both are formal but komapseumnida is slightly more formal (highest level); I hear mostly kamsahamnida though. Then you also get "komawoyo" and "komawo" which are informal to use with friends etc.

  • Are you sure?.. I thought 감사합니다 (Kamsahamnida) was more formal than 고맙습니다 (kohmapseumnida).

  • Actually I might be wrong, lol. I get confused about those two. Anyway they are both very polite so don't worry too much.

  • @ruthnp75 how about gamsahapnida is it thank you too ?

  • @lenjin08 yes, that's a formal/very polite form of thank you

  • 도맢슾니다 !!! > gu map sup nida !!

    thank you!

  • This is an excellent series. I find that sometimes they talk to quickly. If you want to make it easier for yourself learn to read Hankuk first - there are tons of easy to use websites for this. I learned in about 1 hour.

    안녕하세요 리아입니다 가나다사람입니다

  • hankuk?...i thought they called it hangul...

  • im with you

  • hanguk means korea and hangul is the name of the korean alphabet( translated the great writing)

  • How would you say America in Korean?

  • mi goog.

  • Like this...

    나는 미국 사람이다

  • which one is the one to say it? (american)

  • that asking where some1s from goes way 2 fast.. can some1 write it pls.. and saying where youre from 2.. and whats the Netherlands in Korean ?

  • o-nu na-ra sa-ram im-ni-ka? =where r u from?

    i don't know how 2 say netherland in korean...

  • thnx ^^ <3

    :p

  • They shud have seriously taught the alhpabet first or at least how to write it because since the korean is written it would be easier for beginners to learn how to read to be able to pronounce better.

  • true it would be easier. i think (even though they don't say so) that it's necessary to thoroughly learn the alphabet and all letters first otherwise it's a bit too hard for beginners.

  • why dont you post the words on how you say it? i think reading, listening and watching how they pronounce those words is more easier than listening and watching only..im pertaining to post something like this:

    anyong haseyo

    namu

    arimdapta

    kumawo

    ....thanks =)
