  • Great video. Thanks for posting, it's given me some great ideas.

  • holy fuck these sound bloody brilliant, and im not even british...

  • Ich finde Byzancehoren gut!

  • Great sounds

  • those byzances are sex

  • i busted a nut for those gen-x china-crashes.

  • i currently own a 21inch medium byzance ride and 14inch byzance heavy hh

and soon gonna own an 18inch mb20 rock china

    these cymbals are amazing!

  • these are amazing

  • meinl cymbals are good enough but i prefer sabian

  • NOW...These r the cymbals u wanna play for METAL. MEinl shows zildjian and paiste the door !!

  • OH YEAH!!! :D... damn i want the cymbals now!!! what series are their? I cant really hear what he says :P

  • its MB8 series ;)

  • beacuse menil - metal, zildjian - rock, paiste - universal

  • Comment removed

  • Nah paiste has 1 serie that i think is made for metal, the rude cymbals

  • not only one... some signatures, black alphas...

  • HAHAHAHA U´ve got to be shitting me hahahah the black alphas sucks to the max!

  • @clarityria Hahahaha! Amen to that, they're like cymbals painted in nail polish. MADE 4 MET4L! \m/ -____-

  • all of them make different cymbals for diferent styles. Like some of them you can use for more than just 1 style.

  • those byzance cymbal sizes would not have been there if not for Aaron Gillespie

  • Haha true......

I watched this video like 20 times just DREAMING of those cymbals!

    1:43

  • lol so did i... so i bought some ahhhh i love them. i got the 21 crash and my 15 medium byzance hats are waiting for me at guitarcenter

  • if anyone has had a mb8 20" or mb10" MEDIUM CRASH, let me know how they are!!!!!!?????!!!!

  • meinl all the way

  • they even look beautiful!

  • those sound amazing.. i think im going to start getting these cymbols.

  • wat size was the first cymbal he hit? (b8 series)

  • Looks like an 18" or 20"

  • haha those byzance were the same cymbals Aaron Gillespie uses, correct? sizes and everything i think. nice =]

  • i was thinking the SAME thing and yes he does cept sometimes over his small tom he uses his own custom mb8 cymbals SOMETIMES

  • i saw in one video he used an mb20

  • yes..

  • i really dont like the way they sound.

  • are meinl cymbals even good,Ive never played one, but there very interesting.

  • yup, very modern sound.

  • It depends on the series.

There are beginner series such as HCS and MCS. Semi-Pro like Classics and Pro-Series like Byzance, MB20 Soundcaster, MB8, MB10 and Generation X (special effect cymbals for modern music).

  • they r fantastic i played them, but i dint no about them until now thats why i use zildjian cymbals wich are also really great!!

  • i had a band practice today and the singer who was the drummer brought over his new cymbal set for me to look at and i did like everything but the BEST ride cymbal ive ever heard was his Meinl MCS 20" Ride Cymbal, its so good that i had my heart set on a paragon ride and am now getting the meinl instead! they are well worth a try

  • haha thats amazing

and MCS are one of the cheaper ranges meinl makes are they not?

  • MY GOD THOSE SOUND AMAZING

  • that MB8 splash is one of the best sounding ive ever heard. that ride is nice as piss too. paiste rude crashes are pwnage as far as the crash goes though.

  • i kinda steered away from buying a cymbal pack... i think building up your collection slowly but with super good quality cymbals you'll never replace is the best way to go and more cost effective in the long run

  • Ok, that gave me wood.

  • i wanted tp buy zildjians fo so long and i finaly bought z custom crash and now i just want to buy meinl cymbal pack

  • I own 2 Z Custom crashes and the great thing about them is that I feel like they will never break. The downside to them is that they are way too loud. The drown out everything else. I too will be switching to Meinl cymbals soon.

  • To add to that, test the 2002 wild crashes. I've never seen such a positive response from cymbals accustom to louder settings. As well, the APX crashes are just sweet so also try them

  • How he says it in the video.....(Y)

  • how do you pronounce meinl?!?!?!

  • mine-ill

  • i'm so buying Byzance 21" and 22" med crashes

  • there sick i just got mine 22' medium crash in yesterday its awesome.

  • I definitely believe that they'll be my next purchases.

  • Those Mb8's sound exactly like the new APX line by sabian. I guess its the B8 alloy

  • i love the first cymbal

  • i wish a company could make the perfect rock cymbal line

  • I'm all about the Gen-X series

  • i want soundcaster!!

    i love them

  • nothin beats byzance!

  • @skateanddrum101 except for the sticks the drummer's using

  • @Camxswordreg jesus christ i wrote that comment 3 yrs ago LMAO

  • @skateanddrum101 i know im sorry, can't help being an idiot:p

  • 1:50 is godly!

  • YEAH 1:50!

  • serioulsy that sounds freakin BEAST!

  • MB8 splash sounds good, 22" crashes? jeez

  • B8 alloy is used commonly in entry level cymbals such as zbt's and B8's. But its also the same alloy used in Paiste 2002's. B8 alloy just has different sound characteristics that B20.

  • ya, but these ones are cast instead of sheet, so thats the difference

  • did he say B8 alloy? isn't that beginner alloy, as used in sabian b8 and the like?

  • FIRST, great cymbals
