My cobalt will eat v6 camaro all day long and some camaro ss with light mods, that being said it's still just a cobalt with the power going to the wrong wheels and missing 4cyl
@9369cmack Handling? No. It's the same suspension. And if you're going to compare a modded car vs a stock car then GTFO. Even if you're modded V6 did beat my stock SS, in the end you're still driving a V6.
All criticism aside, you're really trying to diss other Camaros? Wtf is wrong with you?
@GeckoSniper my point was that its lighter and more balanced because its lighter and a modded v6 will beat a v8, and todays v6 is like yesturdays v8 but its cheaper and better on insurence and gas, i have nothing against v8 ss their awsome but i like my every day driver v6 (its for fun not race)
@Jkool122 cause putting nos in a V6 Camaro will make it whore a V8 Camaro and it wud be cheaper lol Not that i would ever screw up a car by running nos through ittt
The v 8 doesn't handle as well and the v6 is lighter comes with the same options and is ten less thousand dollars for 123 less hp , i think i can make it up for ten grand. The v6 is a new motor and will only continue to get better the v8s are time and time again for straight line performance and nothing else and have a less everyday feel to them just a second faster.
actually thats a pretty common misconception. The v8 in the camaro isn't much heavier than the V6. The V6 camaro is a good car for the person that just doesnt need the v8. V8's are not JUST for "straight line performance"... i have no idea where people came up with that but is a pretty ridiculous assumption considering most GT class cars use a V8. Heavy V8's are a thing of the past. Respect the v8 because who knows how long its going to be around for.
@lespaul12001 its nitrous, NOS is a nitrous supplying company, and if you know what youre doing you wont be blowing your engine.....its ever since fast and furious riceboys are all thinking "oh shizznit, im runnin dat NAWZ in mah honda and its gonna blow up because the eclipse done blowed up in fast and furious hurhurhur" nitrous if run safely is an amazing and cheap power adder, while running a 250 shot on a stock engine is obviously going to blow it, a 100-150 is perfectly fine for most cars
no because the Zex system is extremely cheaper than the SS model for a person with a budget. But if money isn't a issue than yes buying an SS model would have been smarter.
@Daywalkertwentyseven well some people already bought a v6 and the v8 is around 8k more from all of the dealerships I have looked at it my area. Some people here will say that you can get them for X amount of dollars, but usually they are wrong and talking about the very basic model that no one ever gets. Id probably get a turbo charger or super charger and it would end up being cheaper than the V8. My V6 was 31k after tax all of the v8s that were equal build were 40k after tax.
@Daywalkertwentyseven I agree with you but I already purchased my v6 I am looking at the STS Turbo package 400+ to the wheels and 500HP looks compelling.

It's actually a beast of a V6, 300HP direct injected, They just need to make a direct injected V8 for this thing, and it'll be even better.

id be scared to blow my motor running NOS in any car.
lespaul12001 2 years ago 18
its nitrous and why would you be scared? as long as your responsible and get a tune for high spray, you would be fine.
themisfitwolfie 2 years ago
yep. If you do it on a older car you dont care what happens to it car, do it. But on a new car?
Greenflames510 2 years ago
@lespaul12001 ceramic pistons and chrome rings. hardened valve seats w/ titanium valves can usualy take a fair NOS beating.
