I wonder how good Tamasaburo's Chinese is. Japanese kabuki and Kun-opera have a lot in common. Lines are very musical, so I suspect he must be pretty good.

When 柳夢梅 disappeared, sleeping 杜麗娘 changed to 劉錚, 国家京剧院男旦. Audience, looking at 柳夢梅 at 花道 Hanamichi, did not notice the change. 兪玖林 was magnificent!
兪玖林 is one of China's best young 昆曲生角 these days. He and 張軍 are 2 raising stars.
