  • Theres a song with the same chords, cant remember it.

  • What song is that on 0:50

  • @MrHootal It's just a song made by me....

  • @miltonmorales I like this song

  • nice post..where is the OD3 made..Is it MIJ?

  • No... it´s a new OD-3, made in Taiwan...

  • @jasmoism

there is no such thing as a MIJ OD-3, they're only been produced in Tawain

  • i would prefer distortion

  • go ahead if you like treble and hide your notes...

    peace.

  • i prefered you didnt prefer

  • I think this pedal has too much mids...

    there isn't enough gain

(I must say I bought it seconcd handed, and I think they messed with it or something, cause in this video there is gain...)

when I play high notes I mostly don't get the gain I want from it...

    weird

I think I'm gonna buy a tubescreamer from ibanze, TS9, maybe the keeley mod...

  • Too much mids? Really? To me, the OD-3 has a transparent tone, with minus mids than SD-1, Tube Screamer and etc... ;]

    Cheers!!!

  • mmm

    I don't know

I tried the TS9 and it sounded much better dan the OD3

    but that's taste... I guess :)

  • For sure, dude, that´s taste...

... but between TS9 and OD-3, the better depends, for me... I like much more the OD-3 with singles, as I like much more the TS9 with humbuckers, or as a booster...

... but, as you wrote, "that´s taste"... ;]

  • thanks, i have a fender standard tele MIM which has single coils so id be getting the od-3 for my pedals. whats the difference between the super overdrive and this? or its better to get the first version overdrive?

  • Dude, I made a video that compares SD-1 and OD-3... to me, the difference is that the SD-1 has more mids and the OD-3 is more transparent... that´s the principal differente to me... cheers!

  • i have a BD-2 and I wanta new pedal for useing it on its own and as a booster. i think SD-1 for itrs price but i like a fat sound.... would you use the OD3 as a booster over a BD-2?

  • Dude, I don´t like the OD-3 as a booster... and over a BD-2, it´s worst, in my opinion... cheers!!!

  • what about the SD-1 boosting the BD-2?

    thnx amigo!

  • For sure the SD-1 it´s a better option as a booster... however, it isn´t a fat drive, but you can easily MOD it... I made a Monte Allums´ SD-GT MOD and the SD-1 now it´s great for me... cheers!!!

  • @icps86

i currently boost the OD-3 with a BD-2 and it sounds like heaven! but i am using a fender highway strat and going derect into the P.A using a custom made tube PODwhich may make a difference

  • Don't bother with SD-1, sucks tone like you wouldn't believe. Especially when disengaged.

  • is a single coil guitar ok for this pedal or need to change to humbukcer?

  • In my opinion, the OD-3 sounds really great with single-coil, not with humbucker...

  • I use this pedal through my fender hotrod deville 2x12, it sounds really good cranked up

  • Actually from my ears this is a great od tone. I just picked one of these up tonight, gonna crank my tube amp tommorow and get to know it!

  • Dude, for my ears too the OD-3 sounds very very good... great pedal, great sound, specially with single-coils... ;]

  • great overdrive, i like it very much

  • Can someone suggest a pedal that would be good to get the kind of distortion JerryC has in his canon rock video?

  • love pedal III or bixonic expandora

  • try a boss ds-1

  • ds-1 is just basic love pedal and etenrity and such is more vintage go chek out the sounds for love pedal III or Bixonic Expandora... i mean ds-1 is good only if u did wat i did which is getting it modded basically depending on wat company but i got it under keeley so they do a really mean job sounds so much better then the ds-1 cuz all my friends threw theres away saying i hate it so i took it and modded it and sold it for 130 each

  • he used the zoom 707... but it can be emulated quite accuratly using boss MT-2

  • word, thanks man

  • what kind of pedal would be good for grateful dead?

  • Man, I heard some songs, cause I don´t know very well Grateful Dead. By the songs, I think that Marshall Guv´nor it´s a good option, cause many tones sounds like "Old Marshall Drive Style" for me. Anyway, that´s mais sugestion. Cheers...

  • toad work death rattle

  • i play alot of grateful dead, i usually play completely clean but id recommend the boss bd-2 blues driver pedal

  • well, i use clean on most of their songs, i just wondering what distoriton to use on leads

but thanks man, i'll give it a try

  • try the okko diablo

  • Whats a good peadal for playing like John Mayer and SRV stuff?

  • My friend, since yesterday, when I could test some Fulltone´s pedals, I recommend the Mosfet Full-Drive2... great great drive, especially to John Mayer e SRV stuff... cheers!

  • can someone suggest a pedal that would be good for playing guns n roses ?? thanks

  • Marshall Guv´nor... great for Guns ´n Roses...

  • wow that was quick thanks

  • nice playing. So would this pedal be good for a led zeppelin, red hot chili peppers, pink floyd, sort of rock approach ?

  • Dude, I think the OD-3 better with single-coil and with low gain. So, usable, but not very nice to Led, good to Red Hot and maybe good for some Pink Floyd songs. OD-3 works fine to rock, old rock, but I prefer to use for some bluesy sounds. Tears, brow...

  • i have a overdrive boss pedal for my peavey millenium 5 string bass. I like boss more than ibanez as far as pedals go but ibanez makes the sickist guitars.

  • good call on the time

  • 0:49 is about as amazing as a simple riff can get

  • Thank´s, man... ;]

  • yea you got that right man, i got the same peddle love it to death man

  • @RoflCopterAce What song is that?

  • What a guitar is it?

  • It´s a Japan Jackson ATX...

  • what song is that it sound soooo nice Man awsome!!!

  • Man, thank´s... but everything the I played was just improvise...

  • well it sounded awsome

  • yeah thats awesome beautifle realy

  • i mean around 48

  • Oh, man, thanks a lot... ;]

  • yup

  • Hi, I have this pedal and it works great, but I don't understand whether it's better to use it together with the amp gain or not for a pleasant but nasty distortion: if I don't use the amp gain then solos sound a bit weak, if I reinforce them with gain at max. level, the distortion is good for solos, but a bit noisy and confused for chords work, any suggestions?TX!

  • Man, it´s not easy help you, cause it´s necessary that I knew how do you use your equipo and other things. In fact, I don´t like the OD-3 as a booster. I think it´s a great overdrive pedal, but no for boost. Your problem with the noise maybe it´s because the OD-3 has much more gain than others drives like SD-1 or Tube Screamer´s. Try something like que SD-1, cause it´s a better choice, in my opinion, to boost amp´s and pedals. Tears, my friend... ;]

  • Don't worry, it was helpful indded. I don't use it as a booster, I think it's a prfect sounding overdrive, and now anfter a week I have found the right settings: gain at 3/4 and drive knob at 3 hour...tone at 3 and the overdrive is superb!

  • what are you playing at 53 sounds nice

  • Man, I´m improvising all the time... ;]

  • dam nice causre that hammer on riff at 38 ish sounds so nice

  • Great tone!

  • Thanks, man... ;]

  • if you get a chance, try the Crowther Hotcake Pedal. Best Ive ever tried for crunchy natural overdrive low and high volumes.

  • man, i love your sound. Im deciding between this pedal and the bluesdriver and you put up a strong arguement for this one lol.

  • Thanks, man...

  • well i hear you can pair this up with the DS-1 and get a great overdive/distortion sound, but do you need a Noise Suppressor to cut back the extra feedback? can some1 get back to me plz.

  • Man, I don´t need a Noise Supressor to cut the extra feedback, but other stuffs, like a good power supply and good cables... a prefer to put my money in that... ;)

... but, if you like, a Noise Supressor is always a good option... to me is the last option, just because I don´t like stuff like that to change the signal of my guitar... but, if anything resolve the "hum´s", well, a NS is necessary... hehehe

  • allright, ill prob get this pedal and pair it with a ds-1 but ill get the NS if i have to, thnx

  • i tried pairing unmodded od-3 and ds-1. with od-3 as a booster before ds-1, they produce a thick overdriven sound. ds-1's hizzy distortion is somewhat reduced.

  • I use a OD-3 and BD-2 together sometimes and I have an NS-2 noise Suppressor to kill the noise, al post a video shortly to show u the difference the NS-2 makes!

  • alright cool, i will appreciate it, and if you can send a message back to me when you do that would be great to ^^

  • Bro, which one do you think is better?

    SD-1 or OD-3?

  • Man, it´s hard to say which one is better. I prefer the SD-1, cause it´s perfect to my sound... the OD-3 is great for blues and old rock... with single-coil, the sound of the OD-3 is amazing, better than the SD-1, in my opinion...

  • I think the bluedriver is better, but nice pedal and tone!
