Any brand of asphalt shingles now days are a joke. a waste of money, and a waste of time to install. I have installed enough in the 5 years of working as a roofer, here in so.california to have tried them all. I will not put them on my own house.
So true. I work for Iko and the old organic fibre shingles are crap but the new stuff called Cambridge and Biltmore are a whole different story. They are laminated fibreglass shingles that last extremely long. No more fishmouthing or curling probs.
different funny though, i hate iko. all people should boycott this brand, they never last more than 10 years because there product is made of mostly recycled asphalt & until they perfect it & start distributing a quality product we should all let them know by boycotting there product.
There is no such thing as recycled asphalt. All asphalt is made onsite from asphalt flux obtained from oil refineries. All bitumen and its derivatives are made in something called an oxidizer onsite at most plants. Aspalt shingles are extremely difficult to manufacture consistently hence some probs down the road when it comes to warranty issues. All the shingles made today by IKO are totally differnt than those made over 2 years ago. I know since I work there.

He is likely a pissed off customer that watched how a typical roofer works one day while he was paying some crazy inflated price.... I have seen this skit in real life. Roofers are either super hard workers, or super lazy workers, no in betweens it seems.
this guy is as bad of an actor as those crappy IKO shingles. This guy is not a roofer without question if you look at the way he picks up that bundle and when hes walking on the roof, you can just tell
