You can buy the game the game on CD or DVD (probably at Target still), but it won't work for either of the two OS's mentioned. It's still pretty popular, but I don't play it anymore.

There are no patches needed.

You only have to make sure to select interenet connection as Cable/DSL not LAN or whatever else there is.

How is MW2 any "simpler" than any other CoD?

scrap kill streaks, rewards, claymores, semtex, tactical knives, ninja, bling, cold blooded, etc.. Scrap unlocks, and everyone has the same weapons. No helicopters, no artillery or air strikes, no super fast running, no throwing knives No noob tubing.

If you never got to experience the first CoD, then don't talk about it. This game will be way harder then MW2 will ever be. Lets face it, MW2 is a very easy game to play. It will never take skill to be good at it.

If anything, all that makes it more complex. The only one I could do without is the noob tubing. I like content in my games. I've played a little of CoD 1, all of 2, and none of 3. As far as I'm concerned, every Call of Duty is the same game except the Modern Warfare series.

But that's not to say I don't like them.

But don't say the new features suck because what you've encountered has seemed "unfair". I love it, it all works out well for me. If you like CoD 1, good for you. To each his own.

I'll admit, the first time I played mw2, I got dicked around, a few hours later, I was getting my chopper gunner just about every other round. Back in CoD, All you had was one primary, a pistol, and two grenades.

Believe me, Modern Warfare 2 will be coming out with a map pack pretty soon that costs 800 microsoft points or roughly $10.

Hopefully the developer of MW2 won't restrict some of the gametypes just because you don't buy the map pack like Halo 3 did.
