  • sign the petition on rocksnubs (dot) com to get them into the Rock and Roll hall of fame

  • one of the finest song's ever made acapella & other voice octaves.

  • Thumbs up if you're gonna listen to this in 2013.

  • Thumbs up if you're listening to this in 1911.

  • Thumbs up if you are listening to this in 2012!

  • Anyone remember watching the 20 or so different versions of this video on MTV back when they actually played music videos?

  • Man I can not believe I didnt have this for my collection! Love this song!

  • great bass riff at 3:20 goes up the octave at 3:40 stop abruptly at precisely 4.08 exactly

  • YESssssss.... gotta blast this one...go on, turn it UP! :)) Takes me right back.... they don't write songs like they used to.... *sigh*

  • I LOVE YES!!!!

  • love this song. gotta fix my turntable so I can hear it again on vinyl! my band Mojoceratops continues to make progressive rock music, check us out via my page here you might dig it! cheers.

  • great song!

  • This is awesome! The best!

  • i mean really, listen to how GOOD this is. the UK and america had such great musical quality not long ago. im not going to badger the kiddies and their tunes these days, they cant really help it as this stuff is slowly disappearing from the airwaves. but keep looking at these videos young ones, this is how its done.

  • Music is still great. You guys would be pleasantly surprised at what you'd dig up if you tried. The mainstream scene just happens to be a bit bloated and over-saturated worse than usual.

  • Great song.

There is a hidden connection between this song and Van Halen's "Jump". Hear especially the end of the intro ("dreams we make...") -- same chords as the keyboard intro to "Jump". Also the idea of the chorus just being little shout -- "might as well jump! -- jump!" vs "leave it!"

Just a little useless muso info :)

  • Great music.....Duran Duran? Really?.....Duran Duran?

  • fucking love this song and i from mexico

  • "YES" - Unsung Heros of Rock "N" Roll . From Gen to Gen It never gives up . Thanks 4 the Post .

  • Good song, however the a Capella version is my absolute favorite. It's amazing.

  • What the fuck is a 'glee club'?

  • What arrange of voices...

  • Glee needs to use this song.

  • @abinormal95 no... just no. i stopped watching glee just because they messed with queen. if they messed with this i would die.

  • @XProdigyLegacyX Why does it matter if Glee did a Queen song? No one's making you listen to their version,. If you don't listen to it, you can't be bothered by it. And they're not "messing with" the original version of any song they do. When they cover a Queen song, they're not saying, "Fuck you, Queen, we can do it better." They're offering audiences a fresh new perspective of the song. So, if you don't watch Glee, you should have no problem with them covering "Leave It," or any other song.

  • @abinormal95 glee needs to be cancelled from the face of the earth

  • @abinormal95 This is what makes music beautiful. Glee is what makes music ugly. nope nope nope.

  • I absolutely love this song. It's very uplifting and I can't help but smile when I listen to it. I love the harmony!

  • This song is an incredible piece of work. It still blows me away what, 25 years later? It was done in the 80's but it's timeless.

I can't imagine how long it took to get it all arranged and recorded. YES, if you are listening, you guys are incredible. Thank you.

  • @soozanc Try 30 years my friend! lol

  • @soozanc I agree! What I love about this album is it proved that Yes was still a great band regarless of the MTV age coming to life. As a matter of fact Yes embraced the new medium and created some really great videos for this album.

  • I was playing goalie today in my high school soccer game (I was bored because my defenders played amazing!!) and I was singing the do-do-do-do part at the beginning of the song and then was like, "One down, one to go...."

  • Though I grew up in the ACC football territory. I loved the ACC, SEC,Big-8, and the SWC. I only liked the Pac-10 only because of USC. Anyway, the songs from Yes reminds me of Texas A&M(Jackie Sherill era) and the SWC in general. Those were great memories! I miss those days. ***k the 21st century(with all due respect).

  • Yes was formed in 1968. This was the year that I was born (my uncle came back home from Vietnam). I remember them in the early 1970's( approx. 1972) when I was in nursery school. They were more familiar to me in the early 1980's; in high school. As retarted as this sounds, during the 80's, the songs from Yes reminds me always of SouthwestConference(SWC)football(Texas A&M,Texas,SMU,TexasTech, etc).I even had their album when I was in high school. When I watch an SWC game, Yes was on my mind;Yes#1.

  • Speaking of vintage, don't ya just love it when the kids wear a classic rock album image on a tee-shirt and you ask if they're a fan and they say "It's just a cool picture on a shirt"---or some other lameass I've-never-heard-of-them sort of answer. :)

  • What a fuckin great album.

  • 2:07 Best part ever

  • Comment removed

  • one of the best video's ever

they must have had trouble naming the album

for the name of the album, 90125

is the columbia house catalog number (look at the binding of your album/cd)

  • Thumbs up if you think Glee should do THIS song ... I don't even watch the show, but damn if it fits.

  • LEAVE IT!

    Back in the fuckin 80s

  • 7 people prefer crap like Justin Bieber

  • gawd im 11 and i love these songs, new music doesnt have the same warm feeling that this does, these guys have talent!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YES NEED I SAY MORE ALL THERE SONGS ROCK!!!

  • Thumbs up if you are listening to this in 2011!

  • @lavendettaskarock Thumbs up begger!

But i still hear it in 2011 this is totally amazing, great collection!

  • @lavendettaskarock Nope! I'm in a time anomaly; it's 1492 where I am.

  • @lavendettaskarock Thumbs up right back at you!!!!! It's 2011 and this song STILL moves me! This day and age, all we get are inane, sad excuses for musicians like "Queen Puckering-Anus the IV - Bruno Mars", or perhaps [and I know this is stretching the "musician" portion of this comment a bit] "Her Majesty, Justin Bieber". Those two alone could sing to an overflowing toilet and still, someone would cheer. Both of them look worse than their chair's smell.

  • But I digress - I remember the days when music was great - when the music was real and tangible; when music was about THE MUSIC - and not about focus groups and conglomerates telling the listener what "is or isn't" going to sell

  • - and from that, they are selling us the modern-day notion that a pre-teen faggot singing about shit he hasn't even done yet [like kissing or fucking a girl - which Justin will inevitably do - just not with a girl] is what America should be listening to on the radio every 20 to 30 minutes - each day, every day.

  • Not too long ago, it wasn't this modern pedofile's fantasy of music that made music great - it was bands like "YES", "Duran Duran", "The Cars", "David Bowie" and many others that laid down the tarmac for future artists to entertain us with their music - it's not like today where "talent" like Justin Bieber and the like can ear-rape us into submission with their teen-fuck-nonsense.

  • I will not EVER agree that anything made after 2001 is music - not even remastered versions of classic music. Everything is shit these days and teens making the music of today is like putting a Band-Aid over cancer - meaning, IT WON'T EVER WORK.

  • @lavendettaskarock Bloody thumbwhore...

  • @lavendettaskarock Not for long!!!

  • @lavendettaskarock I'M listening in 2012 [/smartass]

  • @lavendettaskarock oh wait it's 2012

  • @howdothingman 4 months ago it was 2011

  • @lavendettaskarock 2012 now mate!

  • Comment removed

  • I really like the acapella in the beginning.

  • don't let some punk kids tell you that they don;t like yes or those other bands because they are musically declined what matter's is that we the people that come to this page love good music and the muscians that make it

  • Doof doof can kiss my ass. This is real music!

  • Awesome music.

Could have been even better without Trevor Rabin's infatuation with the Lexicon.

To be fair though, almost every album in the 80's was drenched in the new toy of digital reverb.

  • This reminds me of early High School way back in 1984..... Awesome song, and I can still remember when MTV was a real TV station, and they played this song, with about 12 variations!

  • Yes was the first album I bought when I went off to college in 1984. I played that tape constantly. Awesome album...

  • accidently clicked repeat on this song while baked once. tripped out for just over an hour before my mom asked me what the fuck i was doing

  • Love this song - always have, always will!

  • my reaction to the song is fucking awesome-my reaction to the seven dislikes is u don't know shit

  • AHH YES (no pun intended)!!! I was talking with people about music, and Yes came up, and they told me the name of this song. huzzahs

  • I remember wearing out my cassette tape on a long trip to California with my grandparents. My brother and I got to ride in the camper, and listen to good stuff like this the whole way...till the batteries died!

  • amazing!! first heard this album when i was 10 and loved it.john anderson has an amazing voice and this album sounds as good today

  • Listened to this album with my dad when I was a young kid. Was awesome :)

    this band is highly underrated.

  • I feel sorry for my poor replay button. :(

  • my little cousin once told me YES was one of his favorite bands because of me. I had NO clue! I love that!

  • 'Dum Dum' samples from Malcolm McClaren's 'Duck Rock' album. Drums sampled, and later used for Art Of Noise [as were the 'Dum Dums']. Produced, pretty much by the same guys who were Art Of Noise. Great, isn't it? [The answer is 'Yes', by the way].

  • bad ass

  • this song is rockin my world lately!

  • A lot of my friends listen to bands from today. I show them this and a couple of other songs by yes, and they stop listening to those bands and switch over :D

Personally I have been listening to YES since I was 10 or 11!

  • I heard this song on XM Radio. I was jamming!!! Woo!'

  • ever since i was little, my father always quizzed me on the rock songs on the radio. Every car ride, he'd ask me what band it was, and id try my best to answer. he would always be in the tv room watching rush, supertramp, pink floyd and others in live concerts. I grew up with rock and I don't regret it one bit!

  • it reminds of the secret level music from super mario sunshine XD awesome song!

  • Great tu

    ne, great album....YES totally underrated

  • @rikkster100 they're bigger than you think

  • thanks for the lyrics. I love the poem....

  • 3:11 SHIP that's high :D how does he do it 0_o

  • No one....No one....No One, Will EVER do something like this again!!! Trevor's baby, with Jon, Trevor and Chris vocal's....Never Again!!! Should be on the list of the best songs of ALL TIME!!

  • Nothing like the classics.

  • I love this song and I love YES!

  • 4 People........left! ;-)

  • ahh.... nothin better than classic's all day every day :)

  • MY dad just showed me this song and I think it's just AMAZING..............can't listen to it just once!

  • This reminds me of Wang Chung a bit lol

  • @xesionprince in no way does this resemble Wang Chung.

  • I actually remember when this song was a World Premiere video on MTV and they even had a short documentary showing how they filmed it. (sighs) MTV used to rock and I think they about peaked by the year 2000

  • @AJ6stringsting and @ORflycaster i agree with you both completely music today is horrbile, well at leat the mainstream stuff is like rap, hip-hop, techno, dance music and all that other crap that has no soul or really any instruments in it

  • I saw this tour. Best concert I ever. Crowd was on their feet from start to final encore. And I still have the t-shirt. Doesn't fit anymore but I got it! YES!

  • Beach Boys meets the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

  • Thank u RakyMaky for uploading this versioh of the song! ☺ Vintage YES!

  • Not going to go through all the comments, so someone has probably already mentioned this bit of trivia, but the reason this album is called 90125 was simply the fact no one in the band had thought of a title/name all during making/recording. So, they went and used the next number in the record company's catalogue: #90125.

  • Forgive me if this sounds weird , but pretty much of the Yes(90125) songs of 1983 and 1984 reminds me (even back then when I was in high school (class of 1986)) of Southwest Conference football;especially the Jackie Sherrill Texas A&M era. When this song first came out, and I bought the album when I was in high school, it reminded me of those days.

  • DNA

  • One of my fav groups. This song reminds me of when I was sixteen, those were the days lol.

  • Im 15 and i just cant see how this music can be ruled out as bad when compared to modern music... Songs like this are just so clean in some way

  • I'll agree that music today totally sucks ass. The grunge period was the last of the true, unique, and meaningful music eras. Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Stone Temple Pilots did it right. Now it's all this "yo yo muthafucka" and Justin Bieber shit assaulting our senses. I work with a guy that's 25, and he'd never even HEARD of Judas Priest. Sad, sad times indeed.

  • @Dorelaxen It is sad. A lot of kids in my sons class give me a blank face if I say YES, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, etc.

The good part? If I listen on the computer, my 17y old son walks by and say, "is that YES?" or my 14y old daughter will stop in the hallway and sing "one down, one to go...".

I thought I listened too much, but they said they show their friends my LPs and tapes all the time.

A great feeling, as long as they treat my stuff right. Oops (did I just become an old man?)

  • @dj6927 lol same thing i did at that age ^_^ i grew up listening to it with my dad and i always take a listen to the classics ;)

  • @dj6927 I'm 13 and I do the same thing with my dad..........RUSH! DEF LEPPARD! ZEPPELIN! I just blurt out the bands......

  • @dj6927 Not "old"......"sophisticated". ;-)

  • @dj6927 NO you are not old!! Teaching your kids as I teach mine REAL music is OK. My husband and I are HUGE RUSH fans and my 9 year old son hears alot of it, the 3.5 year old dances to everything! Keep it turned up to all of it that you like and see the kids want to play real instuments like mine do. Yes was hugely underrated IMO, and I will always listen to this and many others. Right now my kids are LOVING the Beatles, good for them!!

  • @dj6927 :) haha.. yeah.. right there... My kid had a party at our house when we were gone.. (NOT approved by ME!!) .. I was told they played my vinyl all night, and had a blast lookin at and playing it... __--- I had to kinda "like" that,,, I was still pissed... but what the heck?-right/?? .... I raised my kids on 80's metal, Yes Asia, 10CC, Manfred Mann, UFO SCORPS, Rainbow, Dio, Boston,Leppard, Red Rider, Thin Lizzy, KANSAS!! - AXE, Sweet -Krokus, ARS, Dire Straits, Henley Genesis, Styx, etc

  • @dj6927 Its all good my friend! Thumbs up!

  • @dj6927 Not old. You're like me (43) and just want your little brothers and sisters to preserve your ancient treasures. Haha. Nice job!! I'm with ya all the way!!!!!!!!

  • @dj6927 Then it's up to you to turn them into what music is all about. Just do it man.

  • @dj6927 ON TO sorry typo.

  • Hmm. Apparently the name of the website I am trying to impart is flagged by you tube. If you Google search Yes Leave It Video, its on the first the first page all the way down. video sift is the name of the site

  • Hmm. Apparently the name of the website I am trying to impart is flagged by you tube. If you Google search Yes Leave It Video, its on the first the first page all the way down.

  • If anyone is interested after some looking I finally found the music video for this song at Its not high quality but good enough.

  • Why can't I post.

  • Its why there are hundreds of bands abroad that are top quality that we in the states are censored from. 7 years ago, I helped out a friend that had a catering gig at a little event called ProgpowerUSA in Atlanta Ga. I can not emphasize enough just how good some of these newer bands are.I started a Totally Music/Artist Channel so more people could be aware. Nightwish, Edenbridge, Delain, Sabaton and others are amazing. If you have given up on the music....check out my channel. It will change you.

  • I half way agree with all the posts about rock bands are dying. If you listen to Pink Floyd's " Welcome to the Machine ",Rush's " Spirit of the Radio ",and/or Korn's " Single ",you'll understand how bands can't get thier music out there.Suits and corperations prevent that.I haven't listened to terrestial radio for years.I subscribe to satilite radio.

  • I weep for my future. I do. There will be a time when this kind of stuff is as obscure as early 1900's rag-time. And I will be an outcast, like I am now, for being the only one my age who likes actual music, and not some R2-D2 bleep blorps made on a computer. Being 20 in 2011 has its upsides, but music a'int one of them.

  • @bmehilos

Don't you worry one bit. There's more than enough of us Generation Xr's out there who will never let our music fade away into the wild blue yonder. And besides, there's just as many people who like this music now as there was then. More young people are listening now to 80s music then there has been in 20 years. Rap and Lady Gag Gag killed music, but old 80s bands are bringing it back

  • High School was pretty sweet listening to this rock and roll band, the 80's were just so damn fun!

  • Not a great Yes fan, but i fuckin love every song on this album..massive nostalgia kick!

  • The African's of today's era have ruined music, and the white wanna-be rappers are just as guilty.

My lord, look where music's gone since we great tunage like this?

  • GOOD BYE addictions

  • One of my all time favorite songs!

  • This song just popped into my head at 3AM. Good song!

  • My departed sister favorite song from YES. I understand why she loved it so much.

  • I'm impressed.

  • such a bright song love it!!

  • My favorite Yes!!!!!!!!! LEAVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing for 1984

  • bass makes my mind swing

  • Why can't I find the music video where they are 2 dimensional and rotating around in craziness. Am I the only 1 who remembers that music video from the 80's

  • @MrSolarSound Actually, i remeber it too but i can't find it ethier!!

  • huge flashback for myself,...Brits are good at original rock

  • I feel like I've reached a whole new level of happy... x.x <3

  • Say it ain't so. This was a great vid and it's not on You Tube!

  • This was my 'definitive' album in my teens and still an all-time favourite. I didn't realise how much Trevor Horn affected their sound until I tried listening to Yes' earlier stuff (couldn't get into it at all). This particular track has early Horn written all over it.

  • the vocals are amazing <3

  • i really like the begining starting at 26 seconds and i like the back round if him doo doo and then well...i am just in love with this song! It is fricking beastly@

  • @laurelrocksursocks I am loving ur use of 'frickin beastly' :)

  • well said raky

  • One of my favorite songs--there's nothing out there quite like this. The harmonies, tight structuring, the a capella moments, etc. make it very compelling. This kind of effort and complexity just isn't put into mainstream music anymore; probably why, even as a female in my early twenties, you won't find anything on my iPod released after the 1980s, save for obscure orchestral scores.

  • YES forever. <3 yes... and im 16 =)~ keep classic rock alive in this sucky generation of tone deaf children

  • @cats122894 i'm 18. thank God someone else from my generation knows what real music is =)

  • @cats122894 You're only 16 and you like the classic rock/ 80s music....you have great taste!

  • @cats122894 thank u for respecting old GOOD classic music :3 X3 XD

  • @cats122894 good for you! REAL MUSIC!

  • get home your not alone ya just broke out of the danger zone

  • thats a pretty badass bass line

  • This song makes me think of George Kranz and Jareth the Goblin King and sound like the least-informed Yes fan on the planet.

  • @schtickkicker hilarious

  • one of their best, HURRY watch/listen before youtube yanks it.

  • Does anyone notice that the main singer singing in this song sounds like Robert Plant!

  • @ledzeprockinlove ummmm.....no

  • I blame Treveo Horn... top geezer..!

  • Leave it! Leave those two peoples who votes "dislike" on the face of the earth!

  • My favourite album of all time.

Oh look, there are 2 Justin Bieber fans here.
