These vehicles hit Australia some time ago, and proceeded to fall to pieces in record time. They could not handle our conditions at all. it is a very rare sight to see one these days, most definitely NOT the best 4x4! cheap yes, off road ability-not bad while they still ran (which wasn't very long lol) Nissan Patrol GU and GQ 4.2 turbo diesels shit all over these cars in every aspect, off road, on road, comfort, strength, reliability, speed and every other category except price

Gut gemacht aber ich Vermute das es aus 3 teilen zusammen geschnitten wurde.

Der erste teil geht vom start bis zur ca. 10 sec.. Dann beschleunigt der Lada Niva sehr schnell, ist aber schon am Steilhang(sehr komisch). Der zweite teil geht von ca. der 10 sec. bis zur kante hoch. Ja und der dritte teil runter, sind sie einfach von ganz oben runter über die kante gefahren.

I never had a NIVA, only ever Jeep, however -I have respect for Niva for its off road ability, yes it maybe e basic and a little bit out dated in its design, it doesn't claim to be anything its not.

@SqueezeFMradio You're an idiot if you think that off-roading is all about power. It's actually about traction and stability. Power is for hauling shit, like your wheeler to the spot. I know PLENTY of Suzuki Samurai and Geo Tracker owners with those 1.3L 4-bangers that go right by the bigger, heavier jeeps with their huge 4.0L straight-6's, because all they do is sink and spin wheels because of all that power. And really, they're super short-geared, so you only need 90 horse.

haha yes i know, im also just kidding. i don't even have a dodge ram, there gas suckers. i have a mitsubischi L200 (old version, year 2000) and it hasnt a big engine, just a 2,5 liter 4 cilynder diesel, maybe it has just 110/120 HP but, yes indeed, its a good offroader, i think it is better than a dodge ram, so yes, your right. Over 4 months ago i also buyd a land rover defender 110 v8, 3500, just 1000 more than my l200, but its not much better! (ex-army truck)

These cars were not worth the price of scrap metal new and are only powered by a 1.6 or 1.7 outdated technology FIAT engine. The only way one of these could reach the speed as what is being shown is if it was pushed off a tall cliff with a vertical drop.

Yes the joke is actually on anyone who buys a LADA, especially if they bought it new cos the reasale value is about half what you paid as soon as you drive it out of the dealer. I recall when these things first came out and mechanics spending hours replacing unreliable Russian componenets with ones manufactured in Germany, and this is AFTER it has left the factory. The only really good off road feature is the low range which is very good. Korean 4WD's made LADA unwanted thank goodness :-)

i have a 2007 niva with 1.7 injection engine, I use LPG as fuel and it only costs $27 for 180 kilometres. Cost per km is $0.15 and this car is fulltime 4x4. Is it too much ? Come on, no!
