Too many errors in this smug video to count; let's start with this one: Huckabee did not advocate a "national ban on smoking." He supported a ban on smoking in the workplace, because it's a proven health hazard to all, esp. the non-smokers. Huckabee LOWERED taxes in Arkansas except for a 1/2 cent sales tax which was passed by the voters in a referendum. During his 12 yrs as governor, Arkansans' average tax burden went DOWN, roads & schools were greatly improved, and he was re-elected TWICE.
Conservatives weigh things based on their constitutionality? Well, I guess I am slightly confused by what this term means "Conservative". But a great deal of conservatives I know locally seem to be in favor of adding new additions to our constitution in order to interfere in people's personal lives. That never made sense to me.
But nicotine is not illegal. They do not allow workers to smoke on their premises, even in their cars on their lots. So this is about what an employee does in their own home.
You are informed that during your employment, there are random tests of employees to see if they are using nicotine. You are told it is a harmful and addictive substance, quite true, but if someone wants to do this, why should an employer be intrusive?
Vitamins are good, but do I want the government legislating that I take them?
Most of the laws, such as the seatbelt and helmet laws, came about because of the insurance costs and monies paid out. People believe the government put those laws into effect to protect them, but that isn't the case.
Some states, like Ohio, allow businesses to test you for nicotine when you are hired. The reason you are told, is they are into good health and "smoking is bad."
Huckabee represents what is wrong with the Republican Party. Since it has been hijacked by the Neocon Religious Right Wing, it has become as intrusive as their accusations of the Democrats.
You are correct pointing out that people do not see the problems with government interference.
Drink your milk, eat your vitamins, and say your prayers, sorry I meant to say get off of your horse first,ye haw, just rappin my toes around the old hot water bottle, pullin up the duvett, there be Indianes in them thar hills, they wont give us no trouble tonite,Goooodniite shep, seargent sound REVALIE,its ok captain george w on patrol,WAKE ME WHEN HES DEAD,sure will captain SIR,is that you ma mahh is that you,Never mind son just EAT YOUR CORNFLAKES,come back shane,SHANE COME BACK,shane shane SHANE,??.

I disagree, Ron Paul is better than the rest. He makes sense where the rest fail. His voting record is faithful. He exposes the lies that are destroying this country. The Clintons have been nothing but corrupt & self-serving. Obama is a muslim with an underlying motive to destroy the country from within. He won't even pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. Huckabee is a fake, and McCain is a warmonger. Ron Paul may be our last chance to save this country from failure.

Huckabee is nothing more than a spoiler. He will run as vis-president. You idiots who voted for him will see your taxes go up if he is elected. Huckabee loves Homos and high taxes and big government. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing
I agree with you: Huckabee would have used the presidency to advance his personal, narrow religious agenda, not the constitution. That is scary, and it certainly is not conservatism. I am a conservative, and I am strongly against anyone who uses the federal government to persecute any human for their personal choices or beliefs. I want the government OUT of ALL of our lives.
If Huckabee wins, then I officially hate Americans. I don't like the idea of McCain winning either, but I would gladly take him over Huckabee. Ron paul is still my man, but I also have alot of resepct for Romney.

Southern Avenger really put a beating on Huckabee. The Republican party is such a far cry from Taft, Goldwater, and Reagan. Huckabee is not a conservative, in fact he is such an economic liberal it wouldn't even be fair to call him "neoconservative". And I thought neoconservatives were borderline left wing on economics.
Huckabee has no money. He is being funded by the Republican party and promoted by the CFR owned media.
The Republican party believes that they can only win with the Christian rights vote like they did in 2004. What they don't realize is that George Bush has made people hate Christians. It won't work this time.
To say that Mike Huckabee is witty is like saying Bob Saget is funny.
His cute little lines are so rehearsed. You have to give him credit for working them into his responses though.
I remember early on when first hearing a bit of Huckabee I thought I could support him. Then I simply studied a bit and have not looked his way again. Hopefully Huckamania (nice attachment to wrestling BTW SA!) will run in to the same obstacle I did, his record and his real agenda. A true conservative, independent minded voter will not be able to overcome either and his 15 minutes of fame will fade.
Huckabee can't run on his liberal record in Arkansas, he has been caught in numerous lies, his only choice now is to pimp his faith to the evangelicals, but as soon as he's elected, he'll turn his back on them just like Bush did.
Huckapoo's views on immigration especially scare me. Basically he believes, just as McCain and GW, etc., that everyone in the world has the right to live and work in America as long as they go thru the legal System. This policy would destroy any idea of an organic or national culture in any land where it is practiced - including in ours. Aren't 40 million foreigners enough, Huckapoo??
Great piece "southernavenger", I love the part about the NWA, all true. Ole Huck is also ashamed of his Southern heritage, we have enough scalawags in state & local government in the South with out electing him.
I will not vote republican if this man gets the nod. I would rather see a democrat then another bible thumper. And yes I am a Christian. Sorry my fellow Christians, but you really dumb down this country.
I'm a devout Christian too. I won't vote for Huckabee because he is a big-government Republican. I believe in personal freedom - your religion does not matter to me; only your politics.
Sorry to paint with such a broad brush, but his rise in the polls is due solely to the evangelical voters. I am also solidly behind the good doctor Ron Paul.
Oldhack... You haven't read up on Ron Paul then. The income tax is only 30% of our total gov't income anyways. You can get rid of it, the IRS by cutting spending overseas in our 750 military bases that we are policing the world with. Its common sense. Keep the money here and fix our country first.

only thing I like about Huckabee is that he's talking about the fair tax. Now where he would place the tax is where we differ but a transparent sales tax is by far more sensible then the rigged tax code we pay now. Thats the problem I have with Ron Paul he tells everyone he'll get rid of the income tax but doesn't tell people in order to do that you have to replace it with a retail sales tax.

As much as I hate to say it, I am truly afraid that we either vote with ballots for Paul today or we vote with bullets for those same ideas tomorrow. Hillary would be the end of the country as we know it.

Brilliant..thank you for reporting..As a "Christian conservative" I pray for our decreasing voice and influence upon our nation's culture. I TOTALLY see through such fiscal liberal notions our legislative morality and an ever increasing socialized government. I hate to criticize a fellow brother in the faith, but this is my family's future a stake here. It's politics as usual. With that said myself and many of my friends will be heading to the polls in February to cast a vote for Dr. Ron Paul.

NO WAY!! then in a debate, a youtube question was " on the Death Penality: What would Jesus do" and Hucklebee responded in a gettaway short response saying that Jesus was too smart to run for public office...He didn't even answer the question.
I don't want a theocracy. I love Jesus, but I don't care what Jesus would do as president. I want someone totally devoted to preserving the constitution, someone willing to wage war to defend our borders, and willing to punish criminals, not forgive them. These are very unChristlike responsibilities and totally necessary for a free society to exist. I am a devout Christian and a conservative, but do not believe using the federal government to impose my personal beliefs on America is American.
The Bible does say to follow the law of the land. Which, in our case, is the constitution, which most of our own legislators couldn't care less to abide by.
I heard before Huckabee's poll surge, he had been called to a CFR(Council on Foriegn Relation) meeting, which this group promotes open borders, Globalism, and insider secret poilicy making.hmmmm, was this a way to try and push Ron Paul's popularity down? Just thinking out loud.
He may not be Hillary but he is all smokes and mirrors just like the rest of em. In the end he will be just another puppet in office like Bush.
Its sad that people that really stand for something get shot and no one ever stands up to snipe that puppets and fascist? the last bit was just kind of rolling through my mind.
Too many errors in this smug video to count; let's start with this one: Huckabee did not advocate a "national ban on smoking." I don't want a theocracy.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Mike Huckabee wants to eliminate the IRS and put in place the Fair Tax. He's not Ron Paul but he's one of the better candidates.

Problem is I don't think he'd follow through on that promise.

not to mention the fair tax is evil
