Memories of the first steps Memories of the first mine Memories of the first craft Memories of Alpha Memories of see-through trees Memories of the bright sunny lands Memories of bright, green grass Memories of White, woolen blocks Memories in the form of a song Memories... Oh how you've grown...
It brings back a lot of memories when me and my friends used to play Minecraft SMP. We didn't know anything and built crazy crap and screamed over every new update.
@Zephryion I couldn't agree more, though not on Angry Birds.
Minecraft is a genuine gamer's fantasy brought to life, you can do anything you want to. And for what you can't, well, there are mods a plenty to play around with. Try the Aether or Fairy mods if you get the game, but stay away from MC Edit or TooManyItems if you want to build and play by thy own hand alone.
Minecraft really is quite special...and so is the music. The songs don't play very often ingame but I never had a situation where a song didn't improve my feelings in a situation. Like once where I was just hiding because of rain, one of these songs played and yeah...it's like reallife just without getting wet
Wow, this song already feels nostalgic to me... I played minecraft back in august last year... So many memories of playing on Freebuild Flatlands, when I got accepted as an operator, now I own my own server.
@Creepertators It's not a way for starting at Youtube, it's away to annoying people. -_-
90% off all famous youtubers have never ever advertised her videos. It's basically that: If your videos are shit: You didn't get famous. If there are good someone will see them and tell his friends about them and maybe they will like them, and so on. But advertising is just like a statement. It's like "I want to get famous fast, get partner and make money." Thats it.
This song brings so much back, when I hear it I remember that first world Like I made it yesterday. I feel so close and yet so far from feeling that day again. I start worlds to try again, but now I know what to do. I know where to go, what to craft, and when. I remember when I was scared to go past a few mountains on my base, but now I know it's just going to be more stuff. Still, I don't want to be sad about something I like. The fact that I got to experenice that makes me really happy.
It's kind of silly to talk about the way minceraft "used to be", but I can't help but feel sad knowing I will never feel the same way I had when I first started playing this game. I played the creative mode for hours a day, even staying up all night to work on a building. I finally bought the game, and I remebmer the first cave I found, when I moved into another cave, and the first time hearing skeletons burning outside. It's not the same. That file is gone, and I can never relive it when I try.
It's creative games like this that make me wish I was a PC Gamer(it's not that I'm unwilling so much as playing with mouse and keyboard just feels awkward to me).
Also have to wonder with the game builders out there why we have yet to see RPG Maker 4 on current gen, let alone game builders for shooters, 3D platformers, or a well fleshed out fighter maker(unlike Agetec's attempts). LBP is great, but it'd be great to have more game building games from big companies.
id love when its the dawn of the day or midday and this music plays.dude i was suposed to be this guy killing mobs, building some cribs, riding some pigs with my sunglasses to the horizon with some wind in the hair like "OH MY"
This was the first song I heard in Minecraft. It was my first time playing, I had just gathered more wood then I would need, neglected coal, and built nothing. I noticed the sun going down and as i dug into a hill side, blocked the entrance completely, except for a small window, this song played, and through the window, I saw the sun set. It brought me a feeling of melancholy and happiness. This was Minecraft, and I had only begun.
To me this song is Minecraft, this is before all the bullshit happened and the game became a phenomenon, it was just you building the most ridiculous shit for hours on end with this beautiful song playing in the background. Just listening to it sucks me back into the simpler days of Minecraft. C418 is an ambient music god.
You are absolutely spot on that it invokes feelings of nostalgia, more specifically my first time playing. No other game ever had the same effect Minecraft did for the first time. I can sit here and just... remember
This brings me back to before the days of Survival Test. Man, those were the days. And when survival officially rolled out, my first ever house was simply a dent in the wall. XD
That feeling when you're in a cave system, picking away at stone. This song starts to play... You turn around, look off into the dark distance. There are subtle sounds of spiders and skeletons jumping around, but you don't worry. Suddenly, you find iron ore and hurry back to that small station you set up a few paces back.
@geoalpha You create more tools from the materials you find while mining and build a house. You expand it to a castle, fighting off Zombies, Creepers and Skeletons in the night to defend what you have created so far. Time to time you visit the old mines and see where you have started, minining a little deeper into the old caves that are lit up in a gently manner by torches.
I haven't played this game, but I know I'd like it. The soundtrack is certainly lovely and for those who like it, I recommend buying it for only 4 dollars (the link is in the description). Without even having played this game, I know that if I had, this particular theme would invoke some nostalgia of time spent running around, mining, building.
@SupraDarky ^_^ You should play. It's really worth it. Plus, there are a lot of cool maps that people put up on minecraftforums (net) etc. Plus, there are multiplayer servers and whatnot. It's really a fun game to just chill out and build.
@SupraDarky if you mean to buy the soundtrack for 4 dollars thats a plain ripoff, smart people know that they can extract the music from minecraft folder. All the songs and more are there.
@dagoost But why is it a ripoff? If it is beautiful, if it is worth paying for again to you, then four dollars is actually a really cheap price for a soundtrack.
@SupraDarky One of the most memorable moments I have with this song is being stuck on top of a tree with mobs (enemies) on the beach below, my fortress a bit too far to get to, and dangerous on top of a hill. It started playing just before the sun was rising, and it was such a peaceful moment that got me reflecting about a lot. Despite being a poorly texturized sun, it was one of the most beautiful moments the game ever presented for me. If I can recommend any game to you, Supra, it's this one.
I remember good old times with this music in Minecraft classic before it was completly f*cked up...

Nice music. Too bad I have to shut it off in game in order to squeeze out enough performance to get a playable frame rate.

Isn't it kinda weird that the soundtrack costs 4$ and the game itself cost €14.95 with the soundtrack included? (easily found in the files)
But it sure is a beautiful song, and the title is interesting too since I only knew it was called calm3 (as a Swede myself)
