The seat looks like brass. It has been my experience that when u have a composit-tipped needle, the seat is brass.

Great video Don. I con't wait to see how this turns out. I just bought a can of carb cleaner. I think that is is made by Gunk. It comes in a gallon paint can, and has a parts basket inside.
