  • Aw, I randomly stumbled across this video. Very nice, glad to hear my tutorial was helpful. :)

  • This will work a lot for the making of my halloween costume, thank you so much!

  • Where could I get the foam?

  • Are cotton work glove liners good for this kind of project?

  • ive listened to that song like 1000 times this year so far so i put ur vid on mute but checked to see if u were talkin i couldnt live through another second of that song thx for the vid though :) xxx

  • what kind of foam should I use for the fingers?

  • can you do this without making the foam fingers?

  • @Niimurasama Yes.

  • my character has pointed fingers so i might have to do something like this xD

  • dude cool =] I might use this method

  • where do you get that muti colored fur=!?!?!?!?!? i cant find fur likem tht anywere!!

  • @nanowolf97 A hint to the wise, If you want Multicolored fur. go buy white fur on the internet. then go to the art store (anywhere that sells colored spray, Fur paint, Etc) Go and Buy some of the colors you need and just Spray, or whatever your gonna do onto the white fur. :)

  • extremely confusing.... sorry but im completly and utterily confused whe your putting the fur on

  • What if your paws aren't quite furry?

I'd like to tackle a frog, and they've got hands very similar to people.

  • @Dinker27 Frog glove eh? I'd buy a pair of cloth gloves, dye them green, cut and sew green "webbing" fabric in between each finger (you'd have to extend your fingers to its widest like a frog). And maybe sew or glue felt tips to each finger for frog fingers.

  • @BevinKB o.o I'm a lunkhead, never would've thought of that. The webbing wouldn't be so much intimidating as the bulbous digits at the end in some cases.

    Thanks much for the tip.

  • What kind of foam did you use? I'm trying to make a half suit (tail, ears, paws, maybe a head), and I don't know where to shop. ^^;;

  • heyy do u know were to get like neon color fur? cuz i wanna make a neon toxic wolf ^_^ and great job on the video

  • only bad thing is that it is kinda bulky and u cant feel or very good through it or breathe through it and make u very sweaty.

  • I'm hoping i can get some feed back on this, I am going to start a project like this in about a month or so, but were do you get the multicoloured fur, I can only find brown and white fuax fur at wal-mart and I was wondering were you got yours

  • @adobekuromiXD you should look online for the special fur or look in other stores most people only go to walmart for details on their fursuits, hope i helped!

  • WOW!!! IM BLUE!!!

  • Your videos are so helpful especially for Mardi Gras Ball costumes! I would like to suggest lighter text next video so we can read everything easier. Thanks.

  • did u sew it with fishing line?? if you did its a good idea.....i have to try it.....my srting keeps getting tangled when i sew....i don't have a sewing machine handy, so i have to hand stitch it

  • your method is slow but gives great results

  • took me a while but I did it. The hardest part for me was actualy sewing cuz I didn't know how to sew in the first place but I learned. This video really helped alot! thanks for makeing it.

  • where do you suggest to get these supplies?

  • is the foam u use hard and not squishy? the foam i have is squishy and soft and i wanna know if thats ok if not please tell me what kind of foam is it and thanks SO much for the tutorial!

  • the "squishy" foam (which I usually call "angel food cake foam" because that's what it looks like) is the kind you should use, as it will squish and retain its shape. The hard foam will get crushed ans then crumble, so it won't last long at all.

  • thanks :D

  • hey there i was just wondering

wats the best why to hollow out the foam? as ive tryed and i cant get it hollow enough! :(

  • Whats the name of the song?

Really cool paws, nice job! =)

  • I'm Blue by Eiffel 65

  • Thanks! ^^

  • no problem

  • how do you make the palm for your paw b/c you didn't meantion how to do that?

  • Thank you! :D:D:D

  • this is off the subject, I know, but I would advise you not to use red text in your videos, it's very hard to read.

  • nice! I am going to try to make paws sometime! Very helpful!

  • many thanks! this is REALLY REALLY helpful! *huggles the wolf*

  • thank you,you really helped me :) ♥

  • your very welcome

  • Very interesting. ^^ My friend and I are going to make paws for a cosplay we're doing.

So, this foam latex stuff, you said you carved it out from a block, then hollowed it and glued it on the glove fingers while it was still warm. Did you melt them or something?

And I was wondering, how can you make claws to put on the tips?

  • no foam latex, just foam like in couch cushions. I used hot glue to attach them to the gloves. for claws you could use sculpey clay or vinyl

  • OMJ! thats so awsome! i would do this!............... but idk how to sew......... whats a poor furry to do without paws! xD

  • Omg when I get out of being grounded and I do better in school Im going to do this!! Ive never made a furry suit but I want to so bad. T_T I wear a dog collar everyday to school XDD Thank you so much!!! Now I know how to make a paw when I get the chance :3

  • Hey, Do you know where I can buy fur online? @.@ I've been looking all night and i can't find it DX

  • Try furbid.

  • ok this is the 6th time ive tried to post a list of places for you, try:

  • lol your welcome^^ for some reason every time i tried to post it would freeze on me :( *hugs back*

  • ouch o.e

  • im gonna start on my paws once I get black fur and ill use this method cause it seems really easy =3

  • Its pretty easy to do, just a little time consuming:)

  • It looks like the paw turned out well

  • thanks furry fellow =3

  • what the name of the song plz

  • Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)

  • am blue

  • what kind of glue did you use?

  • Hotglue ^^

  • mmkay i ended up using tacky glue...worked pretty well i think! :) also how did you attatch the fingers to the mitten looking piece? and then to glove? just sewing?

  • yup its all sewn together

  • can u make a fur shoes u see i want to dress as digi charat for halloween but now that i saw ur video i just need the shoes or boots.thank u.

  • OK

what kind of foam can i use will regular foam work well and wat kind of fur did u use?

  • foam like in chairs and couches work the best. its usually a white colour. I used luxury fur from fabric ville

  • or ebay ^0^

  • what kind of foam did you use? was it the stuff that people sometimes put fake flowers in? or was it softer more like foam for couches or chairs or something

  • the foam isn't so flexible, the foam hes using is pretty common ^_^ you can find it in some of those big stores....wal-mart is one...>.>

  • I don't know what he used, but if you see my 10 second slice, I used chair foam for my paws. Super cheap, you can get it at JoAnns fabric or Wal-Mart.

  • I completed my paws a little while ago and posted a response ^^;; they aren't bad for a first pair but I feel like such a newbie at it (altho I am one XD)

my 2nd pair is actually looking much better though! However its a cosplay pair but a good pair nonetheless.

  • fur and materials can be bought at any fabric or craft store; or commercially in Wal-Mart or other places.

If it's your first time making paws or fake fur work, and depending on your skill, the time will vary.

I made this style of paw and it took me about a day of work...12 hours, give or take and I have major sewing experience. however, I'm a student in school so I had to break for class and all.

Just try and see what you can do!

  • sweet i didn't know they sold it at wal-mart :D thanks...now it'll be much easier ^_^

  • hey there~ I followed along and I made it kinda well ^^;

I'm a little slow on pick-up but so far it really looks good. See my response vid? It isn't finished but so far it's amazing~!!!

Thanks a ton for posting this!

  • that was intreaging good video

  • thank you

  • what kind fo thread do you normally use for these? it looks sorta thick and shiny

  • I belive it was a clear thread thats like fishing line.

  • so its ok to use fishing line? im using 10lb test :o

  • i love this song!!!! good job on the paws though too!

  • thank you^^

  • :D Bahaha that's cute! :D

  • I could probly make the suit but I need help with the head could someone help me!!!

  • i'm in te same boat as you. I think i't a good idea to just surf around and try to find a good, well explained tutorial, and then just go by that. Making the head dependes on what you will use (foam, fire, plastic stuff etc.) as well... :P

  • your welcome I love how your paws turned out!

  • I found the basic trace-your-hand method a lot easier. this seems like a load of unessicary work.

  • It is alot of work, but the finished product turns out really well. Its all about the makers preference.

  • Thank you I hope so!

  • very poofy im shure this will help tons

  • we need this a lot.. hmmmmf
