Time to get over it. You're not a die hard Pokemon fan if you can only love the new gens. Sure, the originals were amazing. But, when you think about it, it's only cause they're the ones we grew up with. I understand you're clinging to your childhood, but learn to accept the new Pokemon. You hate -every one- from Kanto or Johto up. I know you don't love -all- 251 Pokemon either. I love Pikachu and hate Raichu and Rattata for example. So don't hate. Just love them. They're Pokemon, our childhood.

@eman5454 The first 151 are not all great. They too have their share of absolutely terrible Pokemon. Muk, Electrode, Magneton being prime examples. If you fail to accept that the first 151 are not perfect than you are just a nostalgia fag and not worth my time.

@eman5454 But the writing is better. Look at Paul. Never has there been a more meaningful rivalry in Pokemon. There very methods of training are opposite as are their personalities which makes their rivalry much more interesting than Ash and Gary's rivalry. I could go on but I don't want to.

The old episodes have their charm. They have slapstick comedy, something which the newer episodes lack so I'll give them that at least.

Blame it on 4kids editing. In the dub, 4 kids hid the original songs and just plain killed the series by entering the same theme to each song with just a different tune and altered words. The original jap anime of Pocket Monsters aka Pokemon.... It's about to become better thanks to Pokemon USA slowly allowing Pokemon in the USA move more freely... Only my opinion. And also, this song is only the original USA opening as "Mezase Pokemon Master" was the first for the origin place of Pokemon; Japan
