Yeah a rare case of perhaps the most uber non-NT suit in all of modern UC (for the moment, not sure about Unicorn Gundam); since while it might pop up in the G-Gen games, it rarely shows up in later SRWs. I heard that Sential Gundam was a considered series for SRW@3, but SEED was chosen over it.
@ReiKusanagi The story goes that Sentinel was going to be included,and all the Alpha series (Most notably Giant Robo) were going to come back, but there was too much fan-demand for SEED that they were basically forced to use it.
Ex-S/S Gundam was probably the first ever bonus Gundam unit in SRW. It was originally out of a manga, but never in the actual animes. I believe the second bonus Gundam unit in SRW history was the Mass-Produced Nu-Gundam in F Final.
Ex-S is one of the best assets to your team in this game. It actually makes the Super Robot path not worth taking (which it kinda is anyways, Grungust sucks in SRW 4!).
Not to mention that you miss out on getting the puru sisters, the nuclear bazooka for the GPO-2, some L-gaim characters and the Huckbein if you pick the Super Route or in this case, the sucky route.

Ex-S is god, when I finally was able to get it in a SD Gundam-Gen game(DS) I made it for pretty much everybody that sucked.

4 Is still one of my all time favorite SNES SRW titles purely for Ex-S Gundam. I really hope we see it again in another SRW tile.
But untilthen, there is always SD Gundam G-Gen Spirits/Wars
