Greatest Physicist ever! When you actually study Physics, you realize that he is not overrated at all, as some people here say. Einstein is everywhere in the physics and so much of modern physics is based on his idea (quantum mechanics, laser,solid physics,brownian motion,...). The theroy of relativity is part of his contribution and definitely the main one, but the nobel price was not awarded to him for that theory...But that is true there are many more amazing physicists nobody talks about

Henri Poincare reputedly had an IQ in the idiot range.. Some of the stories of Einstein's childhood wouldn't lead me to believe he was a prodigy at all. Einstein even said he was a "slow thinker.." Sir Isaac Newton was at the bottom of his class for a while. Some great scientific achievements have been made by dyslexic people. How well a dyslexic person would do on the verbal portion of an IQ test is a given. I'd think the relation between scientific creativity and IQ is undetermined.

But once a few scientists have tried to guess the IQ of several popular and historically important men and women based on their biographies.

Of course they also tried to guess Einstein's IQ.

I have also heard and read that his IQ was one exact number like: 170,180 and so on

But they guessed a spectrum and this was the following:

160-180

I think because these figures are just estimated the correctness doesn't matter so much.
