  • The REAL treasure that everyone was hunting of course was Anneka Rice's jumpsuited arse as it hurtled across the shires...

  • I love the bit where the Harrier jump jet comes along side!! :)

  • Yeah, I think that's the one!! Thanks! :) Too bad there's no clips on youtube. :T

  • Does anyone remember a similar themed TV show that came out after this? It had 2 people running around in helicopters instead of just one. And a third guy chasing them all dressed in black shooting at them with a light gun. They had white briefcases on their backs with 4 targets on them. If the terminator guy managed to shoot all 4 targets the case would not open and they were out. If they got all the clues they'd get a key which would open the case and they'd get the cash prize inside. Anyone?

  • @supernashwan2 I think the show you're talking about is "Interceptor", presented by Annabel Croft and only ran for one series on ITV in 1989.

  • @scofo76 when I turned on the TV this afternoon I thought they had recommisioned that show, only to find out it was some shite quiz show, whith a fat guy called "the chase".

  • @scofo76 yep, interceptor

  • @supernashwan2 yeah, get me closer mikey i canna get a decent zap lol

  • Still a very popular series in France (where the idea originated)

  • i remember her coming to anglesey for treasure hunt and she was so fit and what an arse she had, classic tv at its best.

  • Get in the Chopper Annie.

  • wow i remember this this was a great program shame its gone

  • I USED TO WATCH THAT SOOOOO MUCH!

  • I alway wanted Anneka to whoosh down in her big 'copter, whisk me up into the sky and fly across the country while she sat on my face

  • A very underrated programme- love it

  • Bring it back

  • Classic Theme Tune!

  • "Ken you hear me Ennie? Ennie ken you hear me ennie?"

  • Loved this show,i have many of them on VHS tapes.

  • All just a big excuse to oggle Annie's bottom.

  • Comedy Dave's Tedious Link :D

  • lololol i remember this :D

  • Wonderful theme tune. It really suited the show - especially how it seems to speed up at the end kinda like how the people would be running out of time to find the clues at the end of the show. Great times !

  • can they bring this back? With jordon maybe?

  • Not a bad idea, after all,if she needs to jump in water, she will have her own floats.lol.

  • lol, i notice the -1 on your comment tomnicolson, hehe!!, funny!

  • Oh my God! I can't believe I found this video on here! I used to watch this every week!

  • It was wicked, all over the place with helicopters.

Kinda made you feel like the technology of the Britain we in full flow and saying hello during each episode.

It was also notoriously difficult for the contenders to win as only a handful achieved deciphered the final puzzle and got the prize :)

  • luv it :)

  • jajajajaja

HAYyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I just saw ur video!!! msg me on MSN XL

  • oh my.. lol that was... odd.. lol

  • This was fantastic. I really wish they would show them all again.

  • Anneka Rice was the original, Ex-Tennis star Annabel Croft took over from her, then Suzie Perry gave it a go a few years back when the show returned to BBC2 for a week.

  • I must admit I fancied Anneka when I was a kid too!Anyone know who the guy carrying her is and why?(Don't recall ever seeing the part it happened)Also what happened to the original woman Annabel (IIRC?)

  • Oh looks like the schilthorn (james bond-majesties SS. piz gloria). 1 1/2 hours from me. must try that black run next season. great bloody music or what?!.

  • haha! I was about 5 or something and I used to love this!

  • ooh anaka.

    always had a great ass.

    hee,hee.

    great show in its time.

  • A good show - I disliked gameshows in general, but there were a very few that were intellectual and/or awe-inspiring in their sophistication. I think this qualifies for both.

  • is she about to jump of a cliff at 0.09?

  • Always remember my two favourite parts:

    1. Heading out to sea from Plymouth they find and land on a Trident Nuclear Submarine.

    2. Hertfordshire where they looking for the clue from the air only to be "buzzed" by a slow flying Harrier Jet..awesome sight.

  • Brilliant show, this should be brought back. I heard that the helicopter was dicthed in the sea somewhere.

  • Yes, unfortunately the "skyrunner" Jetranger G-BHXU suffered main rotor gearbox seizure 17 miles from Alderney, Channel Is., on the 28th July 1995. It ditched, but sank. Pilot Mike Malric-Smith was rescued.

The dark green+gold "communications helicopter" G-SPEY is still with the Castle Air fleet.

  • i actually see the original pilot now and again , he loved the series. i watched it for the theme and helicopter.... great !!!

  • yes, this was the highlight on the week, thursday evenings on channel 4. i think each series had about 13 episodes and it seemed to go on for ages. loved it a lot. just wish this could be sold on DVD.

  • I have been in the actual helicopter they used for Treasure Hunt G-BHXU Sadly it is now in the English Channel of the Channel Islands where it was ditched after a mecanical failure. Check out castleair co uk They are the company that provided the helicopters based 15 miles from Plymouth.

  • Seamless link Dave?

  • lol :)

  • Just Fantastic. I watched it for the jetrangers and my dad watched it for Anneka's arse.

  • Brings back memories of this great programme that you just had to watch every Thursday evening.

  • i WHATCHED THIS IN THE 80S AND IT WAS A NICE WARM AND POSSITIVE PROGRAM THAT IS SO MISSING TODAY . IT EVEN MADE THE UK LOOK GOOD..

  • Possibly the greatest theme music in the whole history of the world. Ever.

  • i love treasure hunt, even though i am 20 years old. i first saw treasure hunt in the mid 90's, when i installed cable, and treasure hunt was on the family channel. and since then i have watched ever episode and i love it. treasure hunt was famous in the 80's and its still popular and famous today.

  • BLACK DIAMMONDD
