It just makes that scene so much fucking sadder. They're trying to kiss, just look at them, and they can't because of that stupid glass! My fucking EMOTIONS, I tell you.
@AliceInWonderland85 That's certainly one interpretation of their relationship, however when Gene Roddenberry coined the word "t'hy'la" to describe Kirk and Spock's relationship, he said it translated to "lover", as well as "friend" and "brother", so some fans' interpretation of their relationship as sexual or romantic in nature is really just as valid.
@AliceInWonderland85 Also, generally when you look at vids labelled "Kirk/Spock", they are pairing videos. If you want friendship, I'd suggest looking for K&S videos opposed to K/S.
@AliceInWonderland85 It is noteworthy however that in decades past, when being in a relationship or being attracted to someone of the same sex was entirely unacceptable, it was commonplace for two men in a "gay" (in quotations because it is my belief that kirk and Spock are both bisexual, but in love with each other) to refer to each other as "brothers." So back in the 60s when Star Trek started, it was a way to be somewhat subtle about the nature of their relationship.
1:57-2:04 That is so clearly slash. Anyone who can't see it is blind. People who are "just friends" don't hold hands like that, nor do they say such romantic things to each other. And that little nod they give each other.....
Ok, I know this is a bit random, but why exactly is the background behind Kirk's head all blurry at 0:42? It's really bugging me. Other than that, awwwwwwwwwww!
0:11-0:17 that lovelight (to quote McCoy) in Kirk's eyes at the sight of Spock was beautiful and although Spock seemed cold towards him in the scene; he was actually controlling himself from spilling any emotions especially to Kirk. And the best part? I didn't invent this: Gene Roddenberry wrote it himself in the TMP novelisation. It's canon.
8:45 yeah that was pritty gay, but the rest wasn't xD

Why is every kirk/spock video plagued with "gay" comments? I don't get it. The two are brothers, not lovers.

@AliceInWonderland85 Well, t'hy'la does mean friend, brother AND/or lover! There must be a reason they invented that word, don't you think?

I've always loved lovers with subtext. As much the romance as the subtext, if I have to tell the truth.

Okay, call me weird, but that last scene definitely ended in sex, hence the 'Come on, I need you'. Or maybe I'm just perverted.
Either way, thanks for uploading this collection! =D

brotherly love. brotherly love. Basically this is as far as a non sexual relationship as you can take it.

"This simple feeling...." best of the best Kirk and Spock moment!
Absolutely the most touching, evolving switchover, sensitive, deep, unsurprising and amazing moment in all Star Trek saga!
Awesome video!
