I'm a man and I couldn't agree with the message of this song more. I never understood why anyone would advertise they're significant other unless they wanted someone to take their significant other away from them. Don't get me wrong, we should say nice things about our significant others to our friends and family but we should always see it as a risk that needs to be calculated wisely.
Probably my favorite Bonnie Raitt song (Even though Sippie Wallace originally perfomred it.) I think I like the version on the Bonnie Raitt Collection better tho, with Sippie Wallace. By the way. Does anyone know where I can find sheet music for any version of this song? I've looked everywhere. I'd be willing to trade if anyone has it. :~) E-mail me: Lynch_Mobster_47@yahoo.c o m
Anyone still searching for great new music in a similar vein should check Freebo (bonnies bassplayer) recent albums, just great folk music and he does amazingly intimate live shows around the country all the time. Check his website freebomusic
omg thank u for this post! I sang this out 6 yrs ago and have looked here n there 4 it. love her blues style . the older bonnie is the best in the 70s she was BLAZEN
Ms. Raitt was surprise guest last night with Geoff Muldaur, the Texas Sheiks and Jim Kweskin at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley.. She is even prettier and better than ever... really! 30 plus years later. No lie.
