A kid I grew up with, we went to middle and high school together. He and his father are ridculous artists. His father was an animator for Marvel & DC. He also did animations for GI Joe and Transformers. i didn't believe him until he told me to look at the credits at the end of the episodes and there it was his fathers name and he's named after his father. His studio in his house was ridiculous, every single Transformer and GI Joe toy made he had.

The 1980's G I Joe cartoons produced by Sunbow were a lot better in terms of quality of animation. You have to hand it to the Japanese at Toei Animation for doing a splendid job. The DiC version of the 1990s pales in comparison.

@hackie77 im not sure what you mean. St Slaughter is a real person so the cartoon character is voiced by that person. The cartoon was made of him. So the GI Joe people saw him in real life and made him into one of the characters. Hope that answers your question.
