Yeah, he was, I think everyone understands that... the problem comes from the fact that one of the overzealous cops runs in and starts kicking the shit out of him and then proceeds to start punching the hell out of the guy while he is already being detained by several decent sized cops... Is this necessary? Obviously the answer is NO. Resisting arrest does not make it okay to beat the shit out of ppl while they are being held down, that's brutality. So, what is it that YOU aren't understanding?

You are entitled to your own opinion... things aren't always so cut and dry in the real world though... criminals arent always villains and cops arent always good guys... sometimes people panic and over react (we are all human, even cops and "criminals")... ppl are often found "not guilty" in a fair trial too... just examples. not saying any of this applies here, but it easily COULD, and that is why there are procedures that must be followed to properly uphold law and order.
