its BS that they can make this law its like if i moved my burm that ive had since i was 8 years old i would be treated like i was moving METH!!!!! nice vid thanks for making this vid!!!
The idea of banning anything from the rights of responsible citizens is complete BS. This is just like the liberals that want to take guns away. Our freedoms have been being eroded for the past several years, now we've moved beyond erosion of our freedom to a complete attack on our rights as Americans. Sadly enough our liberal media enjoys using the fears of uneducated jackasses to get people to watch their programming, thus perpetuating the cycle of ignorance we're currently dealing with.
What the reptile community care about is the money from what you are saying...What has/will the reptile community do about the decline of other animals attributed to the pythons? You cannot dispute the fact that these pythons do cause havoc. I'm with the government on this one. Sorry.
dont listen to this ignorant single minded kid, the ban is absolutely crucial for protecting the ecological balance of certain areas. Once people realize that its not fun owning a 20 foot snake, people are releasing their pythons into the wild, they can live up to 40 years and they can inbreed no problem. They've almost taken hold in certain areas, and this ban is very much needed.
@BWCmike the reason a lot of the big breeders are upset about this is because it cuts into there paycheck. this kid really doesnt even understand the ban. he thinks if he wears a pie ball around his neck and makes a video he is important. i love snakes and i use to be a keeper and breeder. i dont agree with every part of the ban but yes i do agree with it being needed. people who arent breeding and are just having a snake as a pet really dont have anything to worry about.
@BWCmike hey dumb fuck its toooo fuckin cold for most snakes to survive and they cant burrow i have 2 reticulated pythons now and im 14 they are 20 ft each and i love them to death they have never bit me never tried and your a fucking ass hole that needs to get their head out of there ass fucker
It's a same. A-holes who know nothing about the business making decisions that affects everyone down the food chain. The new America - no freedom - just more laws.
Shame..again people making decisions who don't understand the industry and business that is involved. This is the new America. No more freedom - just more laws.
the snake you refer to as not being able to cross state lines is incorrect, this does not effect ball pythons. also it doesnt take money out of the economy, people will spend their money else where. I am not disagreeing with your video but it is a little misleading and the information isnt all correct
@ApexSerpents Hey alex I saw your video and it was really good. the reason I was looking at other videos was actually beacsuse of what you said in yours being that there is other videos out threre that are misleading
watch my boys video and contact him via youtuube ofcourse and you know tell him about the peticion he is a breeder and is woried as much as if not more then you are about the law please he is a big time breeder morphatitusreptileis his youtube channel
Ok guys. Lets be serious here. Yes, they only banned 9 of the largest constrictors right now. Now why would they stop there? Come on, don't let them fool you into worrying about one little ban at a time while they're slowing getting rid of all our reptiles! SEE THE BIG PICTURE HERE?....
I agree with this whole video. But you all dont understand that the onlly snakes that were baand were burmese, retics, and african rocks. Not ball pythons, boas ( yet if they do ), and all other snakes.
its true, but that is what the American government wants - if not they would get rid of copyright and patents
They dont care if people are able to make money, they just care about themselves - eitherway they will still be able to get what they want - money talks.
All the Ball Python Morphs here are IMPORTED FROM AMERICA - so they did not just hurt Americas economy, they hurt a lot of other countries economies also. Many other countries business rely on American breeders!
This is very disappointing. I'm actually an American living in Saudi Arabia, but I will still be affected when it comes to buying my snakes in America & bringing them here.
i understand why they want to ban these animals. its to help reduce the problem that has already started. i love snakes and have a huge respect for them enough to not cage them in the first place. can a python wipe out a species like an alligator? sure why not. this is why they want to ban them not to mention 20 foot snakes wandering threw the neighborhoods where children play. i understand people like snakes i do too but the reality is they poss a threat. it sucks but that is the reality.
@peckc67 a python can not wipe out a alligator population because even a big python if it has a big meal like an ALLIGATOR it wont have to eat for a month so in a year a big python could only eat about 12 alligators. humans have much more of an effect on the alligator population with the hunting season takeing about 100 aligators killed a person and thats almost 10 times the amount of alligators killed than pythons.
@dylan123466 your telling me a mother snake that can produce up 60 young and those young growing to produce more young not wipe out an alligator species? i agree unlikely but possible? yes very possible. its not just the alligator. those snakes are not native to those areas so it is not good at all for them to be there. people are to damn irresponsible to have these animals i dont think the ban should be for all snakes but pythons that can adapt to live in these areas really do poss a problem.
@peckc67 second humans are never on the menu for snakes humans are not a normal food sorce for snakes ok you hear some people were eaten by big snakes witch is rare but also the snakes died trying to swallo them
@dylan123466 so hungry 20 foot python going through a backyard and stumbling across a 6 year old wont eat them? i bet there are plenty of parents out there that would not want to risk that situation. listen dude ive been a snake keeper and breeder my whole life and burmese were what i dealt with most of the time. up until a few years ago i realized caging these animals is no way for them to live. people are dumb and irresponsible and i use to be against the ban until i took a look at the facts.
@peckc67 there are no facts about these snakes everything the media has put out is fear tactics plain and simple the big snakes being placed on the lacy act places all the other species in line for banning not all exotic owners are dumb and irresponsible the ones that are are the only ones that are noticed
@mybandit90 i know the facts of these snakes i have bred them! i know what they are capable of. i never said all exotic owners are stupid, but there are plenty of people out there that are stupid. i dont think all the snakes on the list should be there but some should. burmese pythons should be on the list. you people are getting me all wrong here. i love these animals and the fact that they want to do this sucks, but look at florida or anybodys pet 15 foot snake getting loose for that matter.
@peckc67 but my biggest issue is the fact of false info on it being people releasing these animals i do admit there may be some cases where this is true but if you look on the usark facebook page they have an article about this subject 99% of the snakes that are roaming free down there have nearly the same genetics meaning they came from the same general area that being the breeding facility hurricane andrew destroyed i admit something needs to be done
@dylan123466 im seeing this from many different perspectives. you are not! i know lots a people dont agree with what i have to say but that dont make me wrong. i usually dont agree with anything that the government wants to do cause there fuckn idiots but this ban to me makes sense.
DNA samples have proven that the biggest part of the wild burmese pythons in the everglades are from two breeding facilities that got ripped apart in 1992 in a hurricane
Not to say that your not affected in some way shape or form but this ban is under the lacy act and is restricting the importation and inters tae commerce of the northern and southern rock pythons, the burmese python and the yellow anaconda...not ball pythons, so ur safe...for now
i signed, got my friends to sign, and got my family to sign......and yet those little retards still passed it. damn idk what the government is for anymore.....
Nice attempt but please read up before you post videos. Ball pythons are not a threat to the ban, just nine specific species. Individual states might be going that route but not so much for the lacey act right now. And your stretching the whole chain effect a wee bit . I know for a fact the produce like corn is grown specifically to feed farm animals and ethanol in my area. I know we want to make our point to save the industry but we need to make it with points that we can realistically back up.
@Dropthetwinky What I said was the truth! Yes, the specific ban passed today was only for a specific 9 constricting snakes, but there's no denying the fact that congress is going to keep going. How about face the WHOLE problem, not just a little piece while congress distracts us, while they pass little law by little law until the entire reptile industry is illegal!!
There's no stretching the truth here. I live in an entirely agricultural based area. I buy the feed for my rodents
@Dropthetwinky and if you look at the ingredients, they are things that are grown here in our fields! Sure farm animals eat more than our rodents, but it will still effect the price of the grain.
Name a point I can't back up that I stated in this video.
@ClassyHerps Ya know I usually like your videos, but right now you being no better than the people who passed the law. Scaring the public in to actions with mostly false information. There many points that I could rant on but I don't feel like continuning this much futher. All I'm going to say is next time you take action like this for a cause please do your research. It's the difference between looking like you know your stuff and being ignorant.
@ClassyHerps Also online petitions are about as effective as raising your hand in a yelling match. Yeah it shows you want to do your part to help the cause, but no living person is really going to look at it. It has no credibility because of people signing multiple times under false names. Rather you should be calling your representitives and senators to make your point politically know.
I filled it out weeks ago and have been doing everything I can to promote it but burms, both types of anacondas and both types of african rock have been banned what this means is it is illegal to take them across stat lines or to import but we can buy/sell/trade in our own state and we can export
These are the nine (9) species that are earmarked by S 373: 1. Red Tail Boa 2. Green Anaconda 3. Yellow Anaconda 4. Bolivian Anaconda 5. DeShavensee’s Anaconda 6. North African rock Python 7. South African Rock Python 8. Burmese Python 9. Reticulated Python As you can see the Ball Pythons is not one of the constrictors affected by S 373. There is a "fear" among Ball Python owners, Gecko owners and the like that there will be a ban on those as well sometime in the future.
Burmese python, Northern African python, Southern African python and yellow anaconda were successfully added and it was made public this morning by Sec. Salazaar. Its a systematic breakdown of the reptile stratifiation. I hope everyone Joins USARK and continue to fight on. As far as this petition its a done deal.
Very well put together speech! I have seen afew videos with these petitions, and I am glad that you guys are trying so passionately to work against the Constrictor Ban! I really hope that it results in the ban not passing! Good job, and thanks on behalf of constrictor keepers! :)
i read that it was just burms and african rocks that are on this list. 2 out of 9. not ball pythons. but they will soon follow at this rate. look at the bright side, they could have ban them all together. so restricting them to state lines isnt a total lose. dont get me wrong, it still is a screwed up situation. but you have to also look at what it could be as to what it is. kinda posting this a lil late too man. you shoulda made this a few weeks ago. just my 2 cents. good video tho
me and my gf both sign it yesturday but i just got off this site and there saying no matter what there gunna ban python any ways i swear this would suck i bust my ass working i pay my taxes and i can have what i want please keep up update thanks
Great video... my family and I signed the petition last week and we got a reply from Marco Rubio saying he got our letter :) hopefully he'll read it and do something:) fingers crossed :) Peace
