I´ve always thought the same thing, namely, why didn´t Maloney do what Turnbull did? Even though I´ve always thought that Maloney was overrated as a fighter. Willi Plett for instance, who was on the ice during this brawl, beat him down to his knees once, even though Maloney jumped him from behind to start the fight. Or so I´ve heard, at least.

This was the first game of a best of 3 series...the Leafs went on to win this game,and the next game was in Toronto. In that game , the Leafs set a playoff record (that I believe is still standing) by scoring three goals in 21 seconds. That's a little something us Leaf fans like to call "Don't get mad, get even"....

the only other place it would make sense other then Canada, or the northeast would be Seattle.  They just lost basketball franchise, its the 3rd largest market in the US, and its a 2 hr drive from Vancouver. anywhere else but there and where i already said just doesnt make sense. Hockey in Atlanta, Nashville, etc. has no business.

i agree. hockey does not belong in Georgia or anywhere in the southeast. Canada and the northeast is where it goes. with occasional exceptions. Dallas has shown that they got the fanbase. Colorado has shown they got the fanbase. its cold and they have the U of Denver hockey team. so it fits perfectly in Colorado. Cali is so big they can have hockey teams and guess what? all of them are successful attendance wise. they have the fans.
