I would also like to say that if you dispute evolution on scientific grounds, or think there is not enough evidence to look at evolution as an accurate model that's fine. However usually people seem to think that if evolution is false, that somehow implies some other theory being true (most commonly creationism). Evolution does not disprove creationism, scientific facts dispute creationism. Many of those facts support evolution, but even if evolution is falsified, creationism is still false.

Gorillas and chimpanzees have 48 pairs of chromosomes and humans have 46. They have found the pair of chromosomes that were fused together in humans that gives us one less pair than that of the apes. The centromeres are toward the center of the chromosome rather than the outside which shows that they were in fact fused together. To deny this proven fact is ignorant and foolish.

I would also like to say that if you dispute evolution on scientific grounds, or think there is not enough evidence to look at evolution as an accurate model that's fine. However usually people seem to think that if evolution is false, that somehow implies some other theory being true (most commonly creationism). Evolution does not disprove creationism, scientific facts dispute creationism. Many of those facts support evolution, but even if evolution is falsified, creationism is still false.

Gorillas and chimpanzees have 48 pairs of chromosomes and humans have 46. They have found the pair of chromosomes that were fused together in humans that gives us one less pair than that of the apes. The centromeres are toward the center of the chromosome rather than the outside which shows that they were in fact fused together. To deny this proven fact is ignorant and foolish.

I think what upsets me more than Shephard and O'donnell saying "evolution is a myth," is that even the women on the show who are on the other side of the argument don't seem to understand or know about evolution. There is no faith involved in that matter, as Whoopi Goldberg seems to think. And scientists aren't still in the process of proving evolution to be true. Evolution is both a fact and a theory, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone on the street in America that would know that.
