Total GNP is a bad measurement. China is currently 2nd if you use nations as a measurement. However, per person the GNP is only 3-4 thousand €'s meaning the population helps it be a strong economy in mass but it is still a 3rd world to the majority of the population. Norway is always 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in terms of per person. Factory wages is around 30-35 € per hour. While in the USA which is the world's biggest economy (per nation), factory workers only earn around 15 € per hour.

The EU is already an economic superpower, and if war broke out it wouldn't take long to channel that into their militaries, and historically European nations have been the best when it comes to war.

Total GNP is a bad measurement. China is currently 2nd if you use nations as a measurement. However, per person the GNP is only 3-4 thousand €'s meaning the population helps it be a strong economy in mass but it is still a 3rd world to the majority of the population. Norway is always 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in terms of per person. Factory wages is around 30-35 € per hour. While in the USA which is the world's biggest economy (per nation), factory workers only earn around 15 € per hour.

@Elitepoosniff The US has already reached pre-recession levels of GDP and we're growing. The UK hasn't even reached past GDP numbers and the economy is shrinking again. Most of Europe is still either drowning in debt, weakly performing, or both.
And China is a 3rd world country with 1.2 Billion people. If 5% of them gets indoor plumbing their GDP will grow by 15%. They make toys and sox for slave pay, or more advanced products for American companies for slave pay.

And a massive real estate bubble that will crush their economy. 60% of their GDP is based on the construction of buildings that no Chinese person can afford, but the building can't stop because the target GDP growth number must be met at all costs. How's a Chinese college graduate who makes 4000 USD a year supposed to afford a condo that costs on average 370,00 USD?
Their economy isn't sustainable.
