  • Excellent, fancy joining our band?

  • Wow. I would love to lay a bassline down for this, could get on this groove.

Saludos.

  • really nice man, nice feeling into the music, nice playing.

  • By the way it's Jon instead of John :)

    But great cover :)

  • John Gomm blew my mind. But you just blew my brains all over the floor

    .

  • Brilliant!

  • excellent :)

  • Why, when people post videos of themselves playing instruments, do other musicians feel the need to offer advice? Worry about your own playing

  • this is awesome, very tasteful

  • btw, i favorited this.

  • holy shit dude this is good! :D

  • This is really cool man, you have some sweet ideas! Here is what I think: Sometimes less is more, for instance in the intro. You could also work abit on the timekeep. Lastly turn up the guitar track alittle :-) Sounds great otherwise

  • @singular23

Thanks! Time keeping was tough for this one. John wasn't using a click track so the beat would change very slightly throughout the song. It's not noticeable without drums, but it's a nightmare to play drums to a song with a changing tempo!

  • Feels DT-esque. Very nicely done

  • bad timing 8(((

  • great job! gives the song a new perspective

  • Why?

  • Sick man, I love it.

  • yeah destroy the whole thing... you really didn't get his intension, don't you think HE couldn't find a drummer for this song? also zhe measure hihat beat is so unworthy. please stick to covering chart songs and stop trying to be more than you and showing off with that shit

  • @iCharacterize of this drum cover*

  • Pro mark sticks, hell yes.

  • Mate, that was a fine job. Well done

  • hahaha awesome. I remember making my own drumming renditions of some Andy Mckee songs. I can really tell how much fun you must have been having doing so :D

  • This is really funny, I was considering doing a drum cover of this, I didn't realise anybody else had done it. Great job man. Are they Sonor drums yeah?

  • @cakelover82

Thanks cakelover, and actually the are Pearl drums.

  • man were did you get all that money? Thats all top of the line stuff.

  • I like watching you drum, man - definitely interesting, and you've got expressions like you're enjoying it :) Agreed with Jon, a good choice for the ride, and good rhythms too!

  • you are off the bit Rasta

  • very cool!

  • My first thought on the video from Jon was: this needs a drum cover. You did it just like it's supposed to be done! Thanks

  • @SundancePioneer

That was my first thought too! and thank you :)

  • GREAT)))

  • Nicely done!!! You should try Andy McKee too! Good job.

  • @mcerruti77

    That's not a bad idea!

  • IMHO you did a great job of doing a cover of a song with no dedicated drum track. Not that Jon isn't a monster percussionarist, but you added a very pleasant drun track to an incredible song. Congrats. Hats off to both of you. Deep bow, too.

  • @CrazyDaddy420

Wow, thank you so much for the kind words

  • what kind of hats do u use?

  • @foralifetime7

I'm using Sabian AAX - Stage Hats. I love them

  • Great Job Sir. Thank you....Gennie

  • awesome! your mics/kit sounds real good

  • @MtnXfreeride

Thanks, man! I'm loving the Canon so far!

  • this is so amazing! the fact that you filled in the parts without drums, that brought it to a whole new level. thats what true musicians do.

  • the song was good, but you added a different dynamic, and i enjoyed it even more.

  • noice

  • @kragoraaahh i believe you mean "nice" more than "noise" ...:P

    indeed "very nice"

  • @MichelArd more like nice noise

  • should have mixed the drums lower volume but kinda cool

  • Awesome job, man.

  • YEAH,great.

    good work!!

  • Thanks for playing it like you mean it. :) I especially love the ride on the second half of the chorus. Sorry I don't record to a click, so it's the tempo probably wanders...

  • @jongomm

    Thanks John,

People always said I made funny faces when playing, and I never believed them until I watched myself, and it's true! I guess that's part of getting into the music. I got a week off from work, drove home where all my equipment was, and said "I need to play drums to this". Just wish I had more time to practice! Great song my friend.
