@xjganday "so a jeep isnt a jeep anymore if it has independent front suspension?"
Exactly. Which is why real jeepers don't buy all those new IFS things Chrysler slaps the Jeep name on; we only buy Wranglers (which are still straight axle) and older Jeeps. Straight axles are stronger, simpler, more rugged, and work better in the really rough stuff. There are plenty of IFS vehicles out there; real Jeeps are straight axle by definition.
Ever wonder why all medium & heavy trucks have straight axles?
@Possumlivingdotcom you sounds like the biggest fanboy ever haha. tell me why so many baja trucks have IFS? it's better for offroad racing. solid axles are good for rock climbing yea sure. and heavy trucks are a bad example. they're made for hauling shit not going 80mph on a rugged ass desert. -___-
chop your exhaust before the rear axle and get a cheap-o muffler, you'd be suprised! At approx 2000 R's you should get a wet nap though. B-e-a-utiful.
are they street legal in colorado

@macforlif Yea I saw a a couple 2wd's, probably don't need the 4x4 and I would guess that they would be considerably lighter then the 4x4's
