  • what is the value of one of these wafers?

  • now i realized that 4 years of my engineering study is a bullshit

  • MY BRAIN HURTS D: WHY TO TEH HURT!?

  • My eyes are peeing. Why are they peeing.

  • They invented 120p? Oh my!

  • 1 pixel. thanks. thanks a lot.

  • @TheYoungComentator amd is ati '___'

  • Why so sad

  • The music is annoying the second time around. Some techno beats would work better, that's just me though.

  • im paying over $300 for some sand!?

  • @TheFluffyBunny15 sandy silicon....

  • Give it us in HD 720p plz!!!

  • Omg it's Redstone all over again except insanely compact! XDXDXDXD

  • damn it, 240 only video should be banned :P

  • is amd really better than intel

  • @theayman360 Yes. Amd are way more cheaper. But ATI really top them all.

  • I think every computer engineering undergrad needs to see this during their freshmen year.

  • Let me count the pixels.. 1...2--- One..

  • Cool video. What a peaty that FX is just piece of sh... (I am an owner)

  • what's the name of this music??

  • Hey guys I have a higher quality version uploaded on my channel. Check it out

  • @Slappa watch?v=YhsKCnDD3F8

  • wow they have documentarys for everything

  • i want the full version of the violin piece

  • 240 is FAIL. I am watching something but I can't really tell what it is:(

  • what are the reguirments to become a employ in there?

  • @BoltzHG hmm I suppose to be one of the cleanest humans that work at there. lol

  • @BoltzHG The only way you'd work there is you graduate with a degree in computer engineering, computer science or something along those lines. I'd don't think they hire out of country for technicians (Guys in the jumpsuits) because those guys are college graduates with some sort of technician diploma.

  • wow.

  • The music after 9:55 was so dramatic that I cried.

  • 2:44 Nice to know that Intels Silicon, on a daily bases, is treated better than I am for any major surgery...

  • so thats why call sillon vally

  • SUPER!!!

  • Epic...

  • Hey guys IBM researchers have succesfully store 1 bit of magnetic information on just 12 iron atoms using antiferromangnetism and a scanning tunneling microscope. Conventional disk drives use about 1 million atoms to store 1 bit of magnetic information. This means that with 1 million atoms of mass you can save 10,416.6 bytes of information (according to my calculations) where 1 byte can either be a decimal number or a single letter. Now think about this; a solid state drive like the one in the

  • 240p WHY??????? this should be 1080 ::((:(:(:(

  • they used toaster as camera

  • glorious 240p!!

  • Curse this 240p! I demand high quality!

  • my laptop works on sand!!!!!! wwwwwhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattttttt!!??@!!

  • ahh i understand now! sandy bridge!

  • @colorblind1333 lol but sandy bridge is from Intel and this video is from AMD

  • So my 4.5ghz overclocked pc is powered by sand. Wow

  • this is a minecraft made video

  • we meet again 240p. My worst enemy.

  • Did anyone else just get mindfucked?

  • this thing was recorded by a toaster!!

  • recorded with a peanut

  • aperture science in the early 19 twenties.....

  • That almost made me cry at the end.

  • RESOLUTION!

  • Just a little silicon wafer...

  • My iq is 145 and this is a mindfuck

  • @x69WINNING69x My iq is 105 and your comment is a mindfuck.

  • @x69WINNING69x: hasta pareces pendejo! :D sos un CARA de PUCHA!!

  • 240p, we meet again.

  • 240p, we meet again...

  • aah at the cutting edge of technology in glorious 128 x 64 resolution. a site to behold

  • Did you film this with a toaster?

  • cool, but if you want to become computer hardware engineer than only buy AMD hardware(cpu cabinet with handle) because u have to solve amd peculiar hardware problems .Intel user hardly open their cpu cabinet .

  • 08:55 3D pipes screensaver from windows 9x?!

  • AMD RULES

    FUCK INTEL

  • whoa, that's pretty deep.

  • fuck off intel

  • 240p? rendered with an AMD im guessing

  • one giant long sexy advert right there

  • And sealed... with a cover

  • There is a newer, higher quality version of this video rebranded by Globalfoundries.

    /watch?v=aOp-ZzC-MmY

It's in german so you might want to run the sound of the bad version parallel to the german video.

  • I like intel than AMD chip. haha

  • I have an AMD!

  • I think, they won't use amd processor at their super computer

  • This is one of the videos you wish you could watch in hd

  • I want to work for AMD....

  • Very very nice.......

  • is this minecraft?

  • Awesome

  • AMD FTW....intel you pay for a name

  • I find it to be a little ironic that CPU's is formed from sand but cant tolerate dust.

  • I bet they needed a CPU to make those CPU's.

  • its abselutely amazing how we actually manage to build such things, it boggles me to think how tiny the pieces are, and only now i have found out that AMD is german. thats why my amd athlon xp still runs perfectto this day :L german quality FTW

  • 0:40 Carleton staring into your soul

  • ok... am i drunk or did i loose track of when we as humnans built this shitr? ps im drunk and karl prilgrimim said that it was from alianas4

  • 1:57 - perfect Silicon lattice is face-centered cubic with a 2 atom basis at [0 0 0] and [0.25 0.25 0.25] - the lattice shown is simple cubic The diagram is incorrect, and the interface dynamics simulation doesn't look right to me. It's not even a toy model- it's just wrong.

  • youtubeDOTcom/watch?v=4mdDPvT4fFI

  • I love chips but i not too often.... i don`t like sand in them tho ;)

  • what's the music at the beginning of this video, would be much appreciated =)

  • "high end note books , and pc's" no mac's :O?

  • Comment removed

  • @c0ssu1 Fuck mac's, yes fuck them raw with no lube.

  • Comment removed

  • wat

  • i honestly think we may have been contacted by another being, i mean woooow, i do cmomputer science but this still blows my mind

  • @omartron karl? is this you?

  • @samvanzeeland nope lmao, sorry ;p

  • can somebody tell me the song from 0:00 0:54?

  • 46 people are from intel

  • does anyone know what the bachground song is? the one where violin is playing

  • i love the boxy blurry effect in the video, did you do it your self.

  • @Guds777 haha :L

  • @Guds777 I made the video in MS Paint.

  • @exenter2 hahahahaaahhaaah nice.

  • @exenter2 how can you make a video in MS paint ? oO

  • @exenter2 LOL @Guds777 what are u using?

  • @exenter2 I'm sorry I appreciate the Upload but I'm insterested in this program now and 240p just doesen't work for me. I found it on thepiratebay 1080p. :P

  • @exenter2 i suspected.

were you running paint on a cabbage, by any chance?

  • @exenter2 you mean in notepad and uploaded it with telnet

  • Did AMD CPU compress this????????

  • @iplikator intel does it....xD or maybe a cyrix ´cause its on 240p

  • nvidia for lief

  • If a 18th century guy was put in that factory he'd have a heart attack! I'd have a boner!

  • reason why these corps doesn´t loose much money; the raw materials are so cheap... also the cooper conductor. but the ultraclean rooms must cost a fortune.

  • @slayerfog a lot of their money goes in to research...

  • @slayerfog Yes they cost a millions, and the huge machines used to handle those things .

  • interesting but i think still intel is the best

  • That is so amazing, those german are genius. Cant belive humanity had gone that far of making things like that level of complexity.

  • mmm latus......

  • @ies213 Thank you for feeding the troll

  • I spy with my little eye... a big PIXEL

  • Sand. Dust. Light. Fire. Water.

    Got it.

  • is it me, or does the starting make you feel like your watching the human body as in "how a baby is made, born and grown up"

    it's something about the voice...

  • This video freaks me out. I consider myself of above average intelligence and this technology just doesn't seem possible! I had no idea!

  • @Mohrenberg then, you aren´t smart as you think....this is possible, with a minumum of physics knowledge you can figure it out all the process; if you are below 19 years its ok, ignore this advice...

  • My god Cant believe we gone this far. I feel like i left behind. Who else left behind.

  • @alvinchiew1 exact same feeling here

  • song?

  • The CPU is the core of the endless posssibilities on the go...

  • That was horrid

  • well well 240p, we meet again

  • @NielsG070 LOL

  • @NielsG070 lame comment, we meet again ....

  • @NielsG070 lol, you made me laugh out loud sir

  • in soviet russia, cpu makes you

    not the other way round

  • This is almost like those Lindt Lindor chocolate adverts

  • isn't AMD the one that created the first Dual core, and keeps it cheap!

  • 43 people dont like to work! LOL or just dont like to learn!

  • Damn, the humans looks like minecraft players because of the pixelation

  • Its hard to believe that humans invented micro-chips at the times when color TV's were considered to be hi-tech. If only humans invested all the money and energy thats being wasted on wars into developing new technologies....we could have been much further today.

  • @derbigpr500

It’s because of wars why so much exists. It’s because of war why the Internet exists; it’s because of war you can use Google street view to look at your house and send an email to your friend. It’s because of war why so much exists.

Something so wrong provides so much right.

Well, thats my opinion good sir.

  • too bad the quality sucks, still damn interesting.

  • mind boggling perfection, so many possibilities, so many opportunities... and what do we do with it ,..... run windows.....AAAAAAARGGGHHHH!

  • fuch shil video

  • How much better would a non-copper CPU be? For example a gold CPU, or a platnum CPU?

  • @kxmode Gold would melt, platinum isn't that great of a conductor if i remember correctly. And copper is better than silver... idk not exactly sure.

  • @colinprprpr What about unobtainium?

  • @kxmode HAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • Whats the name of the first background song?

  • My god, all these videos are in 240p, so much for seeing how they're made, can't even see!

  • Really nice and informative video, the music is really nice too :)

  • I cried at bit at the end when it was sealed with the AMD cover. I need ot get out more.

  • i know the intro song but i don't know what is the name of it so i can download it.

  • we meet again 240p

  • Too simplistic I personally didnt get anything useful out of this... you must be complete ignorant to find something contributing to your knowledge but then again if you are so ignorand you wont understand any of the simple information that is exposed here....

  • @Emeengor I thing you are over reacting. There might be people who are smart and know about PCs but still find something interesting here. Maybe they never really thought how a processor is made etc. You dont need to call them ignorant.

  • @Zero86Sk well in this particular video you dont learn anything. It is not articulated and has no context .. it just sais that silicon cuts down to wafers and that they print on those wafers the circuit... it doesnt describe how they are doing this exactly and why they are doing it in a certain manner and not in an other way etc etc.. so if "you" dont know already that pc CPUs are made out of printed wafer peers which come from crystallized silicon then yes "you" are kinda ignorant..

  • @Emeengor

Dude your stupid for calling people ignorant and acting like a know it all.

The japanese didnt know what was happening to the metalic structure on a molecular level, but they made the best swords that where honed to a razor edge.

next time you chew out a comment saying people are ignorant for watching it then why the hell are you watching it and then giving a dam to then call someone ignorant directly that makes you a fool and stupid.

  • @anikidwolfy stop being a retarded troll plz.. I didnt call anybody an ignorant.. if you had read my first post you would knew... anyway what I said is that this video is just a comercial video and not a toturial or commentary video in any way.. its over simplistic and its generalizing a lot and it doesnt describe for sure the process "from sand to chip".. you could get a more articulate description then the one here just by asking a junior high teacher whos not even teaching any IT lesson...

  • @Emeengor ". you could get a more articulate description then the one here just by asking a junior high teacher whos not even teaching any IT lesson.."

That is just BS. I doubt anybody who is not very interested in how micro processors are made would know any of these things in this video. Stop trolling please!

  • @exenter2 lol you are either a major troll for insisting or some 10 year old (in that case its ok no hard feelings)

Do you need to be interested in medicine to know that vitamin C is good for your immune system or do you need to be interested in orthopedics to know Bones are made up of calcium? or interested in music to know how the shape of a guitar is and that it has 6 strings a body a fret stock etc....

So you dont have to be a scientist to know that chips come from silicon wafers..

  • @Emeengor So this video is like a video that would tell you " a good source for vitamin C are oranges, vitamin C helps your immune system, you need your immune system to fight viruses"..all almost self explanatory... It would be a good video if it tells us what are the vitamins..how are they defined how in particular does vitamine C helping the immune system (how does it nurture the production of white cells in bloodstream) etc etc etc... that would be a nice educating video..this one is not!

  • eu vou e criar o meu propio processador kkkkkkkkkk ate parece que tem como

  • I have an old fashion background in analog signal processing and electronics...strictly as a hobby these days.

I have danced around (avoided) digital electronics for years. I think for personal enrichment, as a hobbiest, Its time to focus on microcontrollers, Microprocessors, etc. At least to a certain extent...I have seen some of the documentation! There are limits to this and I'm an old man anyway.

I own none of these Tech toys, just curious how they work, and like to have an appreciation.

  • thanks for the upload.

    soo interesting

  • Heres a math problem,

If AMD uses two soccer fields of clean rooms, and Intel uses the same amount, why is the price of AMD exponentially lower than that of Intel?

  • @emsotakon

That's not a math problem. It's a business question. But to answer your question, intel gives more performance.

  • filing atoms in 240 haha

  • 40 viewers favor Intel over AMD.

  • Sniff sniff... That was beautiful!

  • ooo waffers... yummy :D
