  • When worlds collide... my favorite singer and on of my favorite bands!

  • I am so glad I got to be there for that show....along with 35,00 of my closet friends.

  • @thegools three thousand five hundred of you closest friends? Popular man!

  • Bono puts Sting in the shade.

  • is this supposed to be about a town cause i live in hope new jersey

  • Bono and Sting actually have similar voices and faces.

  • Andy should be remembered as one of the all time great guitarists.

  • If he already is not, then that in itself is a tragedy. Andy is one of the best classically trained, unique, atomospheric guitarists of all time. Very underrated for no apparent reason. Look and listen to him play...Incredible.

  • Bono is not only necessary, he lifts the song to a whole new level.

  • How can anybody find these performances bad?

I mean they play beautifully together and it sounds nice! Bono is not really necessary though!

  • We are all more necessary than them. But At the end Sting is not necessary, he just wants to repeat.

  • Imagine Bobcat Goldthwait singing the Bono part.

I like Andy's playing, like off f I Advance Masked.

  • The handover to U2 was pretty symbolic

  • Pity Bono sang the wrong verse

  • You're most definitely on crack. He most definitely did NOT

  • You couldn't be more correct. At the end of the performance, The Police hand over their instruments to U2 as a way of saying, "Our time is over with now, it is your turn to be the kings or rock." I know that may sound egotistical but it is the truth. The transfer of power took place on that stage. A seminal gig.

  • The handing over of the bass from Sting to Adam Clayton was not some "transfer of power" or anything else symbolic. When this Amnesty tour started Sting was on the bill as a solo artist and played with his band. The Police only played the last three shows. Sting played guitar with the "Blue Turtles" band. He was borrowing Adam Clayton's bass because for the tour he had brought guitars, not basses. U2 was the headliner on the tour until The Police played as a unit.

  • @mparesi7 That's gay

  • yes

  • is this the last time the police played together before they broke up?

  • nice
